Arrival Story:
After Diva passed away, Simba became rather depressed. Even when he stopped mourning, he was still not quite the same. He just didn't seem happy. He and Little Ma Ma don't get along, so I decided I needed to get him another friend. Working at the shelter, I see literally hundreds of kittens every month, but for some reason Petra stood out to me. About two months after losing Diva, a coworker sent me a text from my other job at a vet clinic telling me I just *had* to see these cute little kittens we had gotten when I went by the shelter on my way back from work. Petra was just the cutest thing with her little black spot on her nose and her freckles on her feet! She became a quick favorite of mine and I'd often tuck her in my jacket as I worked. A couple months later I adopted her and the rest is history!

Bio:
Petra can best be described with three "S" words: Sweet, spunky, and stubborn! She loves to cuddle and get under the blankets- she's a real snuggle bug! She's very bold and curious, not to mention crazy intelligent. The stubborn part becomes apparent more and more as she gets older- I tend to let my cats do what they want, but my one rule is they do NOT eat my food. She's not too keen on this and often pushes her boundaries in attempt to snatch a bite. I fuss at her and remove her from the area, she jumps back up, rinse and repeat. We're working on it though- she'll get it eventually. ...I hope.
