Wisdom nuggets from a people-oriented cat

It,s not that my butt is big, but...

that the kitty condo is too small.

So Santa Claws made an early visit to my house. He brought a bunch of new toys, and a cat tree. The cat tree has three perches and an enclosure. It all smelled like delicious catnip, so I was the first to jump on it. When I tried to get inside the enclosure, I didn't fit and they all had a good laugh.

Then Priscilla tried, and could not enter, either. Half of her body was inside the enclosure while her hind legs were dangling. So, like in the Cinderella story with the mean sisters, our sister Katya Luna was finally allowed to enter. And she fits perfectly!

My mewomie says that this is ok because Katya is the only one of us who likes to be inside small places, while we prefer to remain up high. It worked out in the end, although it was a bit embarrassing for Priscilla and me.

Taken to the vet for being too people-oriented

My pawrents took me to the vet this morning to check my sneezing. During the car ride, I emitted the faintest and saddest cries I could muster, to no avail. The only good thing about this visit was that my sisters stayed home and didn't stress me out with their freak outs. They can be quite hysterical and annoying in the car.

They checked my lungs and fortunately, it was only allergy. I have no infection. They started to ask my pawrents if they had purchased new perfumes, or scent sprays, or if I was exposed to a smoker last week. Well, there was an overnight guest in the house last week, and he happens to be a smoker. He always smoked outside, but the smoke gets stuck in the clothes, and since I am so people-oriented, I was all over him. We cuddled while playing video-games, I marked him every time I could... MINE! He was allergic to cats and got pretty congested, so I guess this was payback?

The vet injected medicine and I now I am doing fantastic!

I have been sneezing more and more for a couple of days, and Priscilla heard that they will be taking me to the vet tomorrow! I eat and play almost normally, but my pawrents are worried that my symptoms may get worse. It all started with a few sneezes on Wednesday, but this weekend they intensified and happen much more often.

I don't like the idea of going to the vet, but I will try to be on my best behavior as usual. Coincidentally, my meowmie has been sneezing a lot too. I wonder if she will be treated by the vet, too, like a two for one.
