Running around and bumping into walls
Roo doesn't like any other kitties except for Rodney and Vera, Vera is shy of people and first, and Rodney hates it when you don't pet and kiss him
They love ALL TOYS, especially the turboscratcher toy with the ball that flashes and rolls around and around
Favorite Nap Spot:
Anywhere that is soft and quiet
Purina One Healthy Kitten Formula Dry and Purina Pro Plan Select Chicken and Rice canned
They are very smart, excellent climbers and can run extremely fast
Rodney, Roo, and Vera were all rescued from the same junkyard belonging to a construction business in Mchenry County. Rodney (male orange) and Roo (female blk & wht) are from the same litter, and Vera (calico) is from a different momma. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to catch their mommas, but lucky for these little munchkins, we were able to save them! Rodney and Roo were rescued first, and were the dirtiest little kittens I have ever had, completely covered with mud, grease, and grime from head to toe. Vera was rescued after the owner of the junkyard saw her eating a frog!!!! Unfortunately, her littermates scattered and Vera was the only one able to be saved from her litter.
Once arriving and receiving very much needed baths, these three settled into rescue life. Rodney and Roo were so little when they were rescued, I had to bottle feed them for about three weeks, until they started chowing down on their own. They were the MESSIEST kittens I have ever had. Vera was a bit older when she was rescued, so thank goodness she was eating on her own. Now, they are awaiting receiving all of their vet work and hopefully will find their forever homes before they know it!!!

Rodney and Roo Personalities:
You can tell that Rodney and Roo were bottlefed kittens because they are very comfortable around people and LOVE attention. Rodney is the most friendly of the two, but they are both adorable and will start their purring motors the second you start to pet them. Where one is, so is the other, so I am hoping to find these two a home together. They are cute together and will play, snuggle, and keep each other company. They love to sit on laps, especially Rodney, and he will climb all over you while Roo will plop herself down next to you, happy as can be.
While Vera was not rescued until a short time later, she is a bit shy around people. It will take her a few days to warm up to you and feel comfortable approaching you. Until then, you will catch her zipping around, playing, and hiding-only to come out when she thinks you are not looking! The way to Vera's heart is at food time. When she is eating, you can sneak in a few pets and before long, she will want attention from you. She does not mind being pet, but she has to trust you first. Vera would not be good in a home with small children since she is shy at first, although I am hoping to find her a home with another cat who will help her to come out of her shell.
Prior to going to their forever homes, all three of these kitties will have complete vet care done. They will have received the following vet work: 1st and 2nd dewormings, neutering/spaying, initial distemper vaccinations, FIV/FELV tests, and they will also be microchipped! If they are big enough at neutering/spaying time (August 11), they will also receive their rabies shots.
