Skillet started to come to my house a couple years a go and eat on the front porch. I always leave food and water for my outside cats and any homeless kitties. I noticed Skillet had an opened wound between his shoulder blades, in shape of a cross, but there was no way I could tend to him, for he is completely Feral, and still is to this day. Someone mistreated him so badly, and injured him to the point he will never trust again. But he has let me come up to him about 4 feet away, but that is it. I have never been able to touch him.
When he is on my front porch, and another cat comes in the cat door he freaks out, like he is trapped, and climbs the walls. I will help him out, by opening the screen door. It just breaks my heart to see him like this, but there is nothing I can do but show him love and kindness like I always have.

Hello,
My name is Skillet, and I have been visiting Smokey's Family for 2 years now, but wouldn't come near anyone. Wouldn't come on the porch where the food was, until the Humans went inside. As time went on, I started to come on the porch, but was very leary. You see, I had been abused by someone. Mama doesn't know by who. I had this Big opened wound between my shoulder blades, and another one lower on my back. I was and still am very Feral, and won't let anyone touch me. Over time my wounds healed, and now I have a few scars, my fur will never grow back.
I do come every night and pay eveyone a visit, and eat and drink. But thats about it. Mama is so sad, that I was abused and she can't reach me. But you know what I found out? She doesn't give up. She is very kind, and very patient with me. That is what I need. Thank You Mama!
