We already had 4 cats when we took-in Terrapin. We were at my company picnic, and there was a litter of feral kittens living under a tree on the property next door. Only 2 of the kittens would even come up to me, and Terrapin snuggled right against me like she had known me forever. Our decision to take her home probably had to do with the large quantity of tequila I had drank that day. :) We even contemplated naming her "Tequila" instead of Terrapin, but ended up deciding to stick with our Grateful Dead name theme.
Bio:
Terrapin has a BB stuck in her head. Our vet confirmed that that's what it is. She was a wild cat for the first 8 weeks of her life, and we assume that somebody must have shot at her with a BB gun. It's lodged on top of her head, between her ears.
Like all of our other cats, Terrapin is named after a Grateful Dead song.
