indoors Arrival Story: Volunteering for HART at adoption events left me vulnerable, and this little guy stole my heart. It was love at first sight... at first touch. He has us all enamored with him, and his big brothers, Cameron and Jasper think he's pretty cool too. Most of the time. Bio: HART rescued orphaned Chance (previously Cricket) from a rural kill shelter when he was a newborn. He was raised on the bottle by a special human, who happened to be Jasper's foster mom as well.
Chance is SUPER outgoing and friendly. He will purr the moment you pick him up, and he constantly talks to you with what we call a 'wookie' noise. He's a fan of your face, meaning, he likes to rub his face on yours and he likes batting at hair. :) He has not yet learned that when he steps on your neck at 4:30 AM, it will make us grumpy. Probably because he's so cute and purring so loud, we cannot get mad at him. His big brothers are showing him the ropes and he's just becoming a great little cat. Lives Remaining: 9 of 9 Forums Motto: i climb u now I've Been On Catster Since:
No, it's not my 'Gotcha Day' but it IS the 1 year anniversary of the day mom met me. She was volunteering at an adoption event, and fell head over heels at first touch. I was workin' it. In a year, I've brought a lot of joy to mom and dad's life, or so I'm told. Mom talks about how grateful she is to Sharon, the foster mom that went to a high kill shelter, to rescue me as an orphaned newborn. Sharon then bottle fed me until I could feed myself. Mom is so thankful that Sharon gave me a chance at life, so I could enrich mom's.
In the last year, my antics have provided never ending entertainment. I'm a teenager now in kitty years, and I never ever tire of playing. I'm constantly into something. I also love to talk, especially when mom or dad imitate my noises. I offer lots of encouragement and coaching as I talk back to them. I also know that when someone is feeling down, me curled right up against them, makes them feel better. My big heart and playful spirit have guaranteed me a lifetime of love. I could probably stop testing the theory by getting into trouble by jumping onto the counters, huh? :)
