Leave a treat for Tre

Arrival Story:
Tre is Jack and Jett's sister. After nearly a year of trying, I was able to finally trap her, but unfortunately NOT before she got pregnant. :-( She is yet another rescue from the colony at the storm basin near me that I care for. She gave birth in my bathroom 3 days later. She is such a sweet girl that she let me stay while she gave birth. However, after the first one (Bella - I had dozed off while I sat with her, when I realized she might be giving birth soon) I was awakened by her mewing and decided I'd let her be and would keep on checking on her over the next couple of hours. When it seemed like she was done, I went to bed. When I checked in the morning I saw that there were four. Four precious little cuties. She was a very good mama! She even let them nurse last night, the night before I brought them to Petco, despite them being 9 weeks old already. I miss those 4 little cuties dearly. I will be caring for them while at Petco and really hope they all find wonderful homes SOON. Mama will be there once her milk dries up and I can get her fixed, vaccinated and tested. Her babies tested negative, as have all the other rescues from the colony, so I'm sure she will too. She does have a bad eye, like her mama and brother Jack. Fortunately her eye was not rupturered like Jack's was and is just clouded over, probably from an infection that was untreated. Sure wish I could have caught her before it came to that! :-( I hope I can find her a wonderful home too. She'll be at the Valley Stream Petco in a couple of weeks as well.
