Arrival Story:
Rose was brought to Happily Ever After due to a foreclosure situation. Her other brothers and sisters were adopted and she was brought to the PetsMart Adoption center in hopes of finding her a home. John and I saw her every week when we volunteered there and fell in love with her, but we kept trying to resist. She was then moved to the Happily Ever After Adoption center and we went to go visit her because we missed her. We then decided it was time to adopt her.

Hi All,
Since Callie and Teebo are playing the spring tag game, I'm playing too!

If you would like to play the Spring game, just copy my diary, change the answers to yours. Since I'm so late getting my answers in, I'm going to let anyone play that wants to play!

Five Things I Like About Spring In Between Naps:
1. Watching the birds at the feeder while sitting on my tower.
2. Smelling all the plants and flowers from the window.
3. Letting the fan blow on me. Just LOVE feeling that breeze!
4. Taking a nap in the nearest sun puddle
5. Listening to the rain as it comes down

Purrs,
Rose

Friday's adventure

Goodness! I can't believe that my last diary entry was all the way back in November. Where does the time go? I've been hibernating during all this cold, snowy weather up here in Wisconsin.

This last Friday, I had to venture out in the cold and snow to make my annual pilgrimage to the vet. All three of us go in together to save on extra office visits. I was really good on the way. I meowed a little in the beginning, but then I peeked my head out of the carrier and watched the traffic as we drove.

Once we got to the vet, I got oohed and ahhed over by the techs checking us in. We he got in the exam room, I was very good and the vet was impressed by my new weight - 12 pounds - which is my ideal weight.

They took me in the back for shots and when they brought me back they said how good I was and how they just loved my squeaky meow.

I think that's just about everything, other than having to go back for a toofie cleaning next month.

Hibernating purrs,
Rose

Catching up!

I'm under the influence of drugs, so please excuse this rambling entry - more to follow on why I'm on drugs momentarily.

A few weeks ago Mom, Dad and I all attended the Hiss and Howl. This is a fundraising event for the Sanctuary where I used to live. I always go to visit all the volunteers that were so nice to me and take part in the costume contest. I've never won in the three years I've been in it, but that's okay, I just love getting all the attention from all the people at the event.

I was chilling out on the chairs reveling in the attention when they started announcing the winners of the contest. I won the cutest award! Okay, actually, I tied with a dog - but still! I may have had a slight edge because I was the ONLY cat there - so I think I got the whole share of the cat people vote.

On to the reason for me being on drugs. I'm quite stealthy and I got a little too close behind Mom and she stepped on my front paw. A few days later I was limping and holding up my paw, so off to the vet I went on Saturday. Good news is that it's just strained, so I got a shot of Cosequin and I'm doing better now.

That's probably enough rambling for now. Sending purrs to everyone affected by Sandy.

Rambling purrs,
Rose
