Arrival Story:
Nudel was born on 15th May 2010 in our front room study, after I had "trapped" his Mom Fraidy inside this room the night before. She looked like she might be giving birth soon...and I was right. The next morning, I found Fraidy in one of the boxes/beds/cubby holes, I had provided for her, with 4 kittens. Unfortunately, Puzzle, the obviously weakest kitten did not make it past his first 24 hours. He was buried next to Bungee (Our Fallen Angel). Nudel, his brother Dudel, as well as sister Strudel, are growing like weeds and are very rambunctious now. They outgrew their little playpen over a week ago and now even made the hoomin kiddie gate obsolete. They try to jump everything and succeed after a while. They are all very cute. Nudel distinguishes himself from his siblings by having a short coat, whereas Dudel and Strudel have medium long hair. Nudel is very vocal and starts meowing from the top of his lungs as soon as his hoomin Mama enters the Katzie Ward. He is a pill!

Since they were born, the Three Mini Stooges have been living in our front study. In about a week, I will have to introduce them to the outdoors, where their 5 girlie cousins are living. Their Moms were all born in the wild and have a strong urge to roam around in the wooded area and the fields on our property. Hidey & Fraidy will be spayed as soon as they have weaned their kittens or all babies have started to eat regular cat food.

Clean Up Day In Katzieland!

Meow, meow, meow!
Today was the furst time that Mama (that be the hoomin, one of the two) took us out of our NeoNatal Katzie Ward fur a little while.

Dudel, Strudel and I had shnuck out befure, when Mama came into our room and could not close the door fast enough. We are so quick now that it is hard fur our hoomins to keep up with us.

Anyway...I had the strange feeling that something was in the making, when Mama fussed at us profusely (again!) for making a mess in our room and not cleaning up. Heeello! We are cats. It is our goal in life to play with efurything we can get our paws on.

Yes, we toss the toys all ofur the room and don't put them back into our toy basket. So what? Hoomins have such strange rules. Whenefur Mama collects all our toys and neatly (what a waste of effurt) puts them into the basket...we just wait fur her to put it down on the floor and we come flying towards it and empty it out as fast as pawssible. She doesn't like that. Talk to the paw!

Well, to come back to my original story: Apparently, Mama had decided that our room needed a good cleaning. So, she stuffed us all into our sleep box and carried us into the living room. Ooooh...that was speeeecial!

Howefur, we thought that we would get the run of the house. Nah! Nope! Niet! Did not happen. Daddy (the other hoomin) took our box, sat it on the ottoman and stayed right there with us.
THAT WAS SCARY! His face looked soooo big, when he peaked into our box. Strudel was fury upset. After a while, she calmed down when Daddy started to play with us. Then we all got bored and took a big nap.

Mama made a lot of noise in our room. She pushed this big. loud thing through the room and made a such a fuss ofur getting our place cleaned up. She had taken all our items (box, play ground, etc) out into the hall way. I know that because I got to shneak out of the box...kind of...and could see what was going on.

Why do hoomins act like this ofur a little mess her and there? It is boring, when all the stuff is packed away. If she doesn't like it, why can't she simply bury it all right there in the room? That's what we do at least with some things.

When she took us back into our Katzie Empire, efurything...and I mean EFURYTHING was in a different place. Doesn't she know that cats don't like their stuff moved around? What a doofball!

So we had to inspect the whole area as if we saw it fur the furst time. And would you believe it? There was a new thingy in the room. It goes from the floor up to the ceiling and has little plateaus to sit on. Now THAT is cool. Dudel immediately attacked it and in the following hours, all three of us fought over the right to climb it furst all the way up to the top.

This time it took us a little longer to empty the basket again. We have to keep our hoomins busy. And let me tell you...we are fury good at that.
