My husband was standing in a busy intersection working a major traffic accident when this little kitten ran right up to him, crossing two lanes of traffic and almost getting run over. Hence, his name, Major. Mike placed Major in the back of the patrol car and brought him home. Major was estimated to be approximately 10 weeks old when found. Although we originally named him "Major" he does not answer to that name because since he was kitten everytime he got into areas he shouldn't have, I would yell out, "Get down you little monkey!" So, he only answers to "Monkey" now, even though his name is SUPPOSED to be "Major".
