This is Lola and she was found by a groundsperson at 8 weeks old. She was abandoned by her feral mother. Lola was left outside with the sun shining on her and flies starting to eat her alive. Our veterinarian had to get maggots out of her rectally. We immediately nursed her back to health and followed all the directions from our veterinarian. We were informed that flies and their larva are toxic to cats. Luckily Lola only had a small infestation. She became my husband's baby and when he had brain surgery she laid on his hospital bed (set up at our house)and stayed with him the entire time. Lola recovered and six months later was spayed. She is a bit of a loner and that may be because she was raised with no siblings just humans. Today Lola is four years old and she still has the noticable black tear drop on her nose. Everytime I look at her I am thankful that she pulled through her traumatic start in life. I believe it was meant to be. She came to us for a reason and that was to have her life saved.
