Arrival Story:
I rescued Lucy from the local animal shelter last January. I was looking for a cat that did not see my lizard as prey. I picked up Lucy and she immediately started purring. To make sure she wasn't a hunter, a shelter worker let me see Lucy's reaction to a guinea pig. Lucy didn't care and went back to giving me lovin'. I adopted her the next day. After a bath and a looong night of brushing, I fell in love with her. I believe she only has 8 lives yet because I believe she was abused before I adopted her. I may have rescued her but she changed my world. I get love every day I come home from school and she sleeps on a pillow next to my head at night. Total lap cat who is never more than 5 feet away from me when I'm home.

Bio:
Lucy is unique. She has pointed dew claws and is missing the first digit joint of one of her front paws. When I first adopted her she was already declawed however, they did not fully complete the procedure. About a month after I adopted her I had to have the first joint removed because it was a stub of exposed tissue. She is a dilute tortoise shell and my favorite spots are the stripe down her nose, her one pale paw, and the one pale spot on her belly. She also has tabby stripes up her tail :-)
