Arrival Story:
Mocha was adopted from a local rescue. Her mother had been found on the side of the road severely injured by either a car or coyote. There were 3 other kittens in her litter, but unfortunately she was the only one to make it. Her mom had to be euthanized due to her injuries. Unfortunately, the rescue didn't do the right thing, they just assumed she was old enough to eat solid food; she wasn't. When I adopted her she had no concept of solid food or even wet food. When I took her to the vet, who aged her out to about 4 weeks old... at the oldest. So, we had to teach her to use the litter box, we had to finish hand raising her. She was so small that she literally fit in the palm of your hand. Although I feel that they should have NEVER allowed her to go home with us, she is my Heart Kitty, and I wouldn't give her up for anything.
