Happy Bridge Birthday!

Mom just realized that today would have been my 14th birthday! I am doing just fine here at the Bridge, and I have lots of friends. I peek in on mom and grandma every once in a while to see how they are doing. I have been keeping a special watch on mom's kitty, Java, that came to the Bridge a few weeks ago. I hope everyfur and their families are doing well. Take Care!

This is way overdue!

Mom was just looking at my diary and realized that she never posted another update about my grandma.

She is home! Finally!!! She had a very hard time getting there, but she made it.

In my last entry, I talked about her having blood poisoning. She got over that and just when they were going to send her back to the rehab hospital, they discovered that her hip had been re-broken. REALLY!?!?!? Hasn't she been through enough? They ended up doing another surgery and this time they did a hip replacement. She healed up quite nicely and she has been at home for about a week now.

She was a little apprehensive about going home. For the obvious reasons of course. She is scared of what can go wrong there since she doesn't have the nurses just a button push away, but she is going to an empty home because I am not there. I was only gone for 5 days when she broke her hip, so she is having to deal with that too. She thought that she would get a new kitty when she finally got to go home, but she realizes that she won't be able to properly take care of a cat at this time, so she is going to wait.

I buzz in to check on her every now and then, just like the rest of my angel siblings, and mom talks to her almost every day.

Still needing purrs for Grandma!

A few weeks ago, I made an entry in my diary about my grandma breaking her hip. Well, she was getting so much better. She got her staples out and her doctor told her that she might be able to start walking again sooner than originally planned. Now this!

The day before yesterday, mom found out that grandma was back in the hospital. She is very seriously ill. She has blood poisoning and is in intensive care. Mom is very scared for her right now. So if you can just take a minute and say a quick prayer for grandma and send some healing purrs her way, it would be much appreciated. I will make sure that mom updates as things change.
