Arrival Story:
Buffy was adopted from our local Humane Society shelter when she was just a kitten. We wanted another Calico cat after our first Calico, Muffy died quite suddenly at the age of 3. Buffy was a quite a rambunctious ball of fur. She loved climbing up on things - bureaus, refrigerators, doors (see the photo of her on top of the screen door). She's the only cat I ever owned that loved to chase beams of light from a flashlight. She would make herself dizzy chasing that beam - going round & round in circles never quite "catching" it. Buffy became ill at 5 years of age and blood work revealed she had Feline Leukemia. It was quite a shock to us, since she had been given the leukemia shots to prevent it. We brought her home from the hospital after her diagnosis to spend some time with her before we let her go, and she died that night, at home. We still miss her.
