or can we be at 2 different places at the same time?
No, you're seeing double...and triple in one case! When mom got Lily and Chloe, they were supposedly the last of our litter. They look identical but mom can tell them apart.
Well, mom went back to the reptile store today to let them know how we're all doing and what names the girls have now. When she walked in, in the cage that we were kept in was another set of manx girls that looked identical to us. One black one like me (but she has no tail at all where as I have a little nub of a tail) and a tortie manx that looks identical to Lily and Chloe with the exception that she has a little nub of a tail where as the other 2 girls have regular tails. So, mom asked about them. Come to find out, those 2 are indeed from our litter and the owners kept them and now for some unknown reason, decided to put them up for adoption.
So, they found themselves a new home with us. Mom is having a hard time right now keeping everyone straight. My twin is going to have to go to the vet next week cuz it looks like she has a hernia or something coming out of her little pooper hole. A friend mentioned "cancer" and mom hopes and prays it's nothing serious cuz mom's mom just died 3 weeks ago today of cancer...please keep your paws crossed that it's nothing serious!

Mom adopted my 2 remaining tortie sisters today! I have a few pictures of my sisters in my photo album from the day she adopted me. The longer haired tortie got adopted last week and the 2nd mohawk sister got adopted on Saturday right before mom got to the reptile store. Mom wanted to see if any of my siblings were left when she went in there the other day. She was thinking about adopting one but couldn't make up her mind which one she wanted. So, she waited to see if either would be adopted in the next few days so it would make her decision easier.
Although there's a gazillion furbutts in the family already, none of them play with me. I'm finding things to play with and it's not always good things. Plus a lot of the others are getting up there in age and they don't want to play anymore, etc and really just don't want to be bothered by a kitten full of energy. So, today at lunch, mom talked it over with a coworker who's also a cat lover. Mom said she didn't want another cat but yet she knew I'd do better with another one my age. She thinks she's being selfish by not wanting another cat but yet she thinks she's being selfish in taking in another cat. She said it's kind of like a no-win situation.
So, after lunch, she called the reptile store and the girls were still available. So, mom went and adopted them. It didn't take her but 5 or 10 minutes after getting them home to give them names. They're now called Lily and Chloe and she'll create pages for them in a bit.
One thing though...they're not special like me...they both have tails! MOL!

Mom found that out the hard way! Mom got the bad news that her mommy was in the hospital and they didn't think she'd come out alive. It was so sudden and definitely unexpected. So, mom packed up me and Daisy and hit the road. The rest of the furbutts were being cared for by friends. The car ride was 19 hours straight and I definitely voiced my dislike of being cooped up in the cat carrier. I let mom have it...i tested my vocal chords and I didn't stop. She threatened that she was going to stick me in the bed of the truck if I didn't stop. I did not like being trapped like that.
Then, we get to grandma's house and what does mom do, she traps me in the bathroom...that just meant more echo! We were at grandma's house for a week and mom let me out of the bathroom quite a few times but I did spend most of my time in that bathroom. Unfortunately, I never got to meet grandma. They kept her alive long enough for mom to get to the hospital and say goodbye and then she was gone. She was only 61 years old. Mom hasn't seen grandma in 2.5 years. Mom is very sad now.
So, to show how much I love mom, I made sure I yelled my little head off again on the trip home. Another 19 hours straight thru. I thought mom was going to strangle me! MOL!
Mom rescheduled my follow-up appt at the vet for yesterday. I can't believe she put me back in that cat carrier again...you think she would have learned! I got the "all-clear" check-up. No more upper respiratory infection and no more pink eye...so how do they reward me??? With a needle for my first set of shots! I weighed in at 1.8 pounds and I'm growing like a weed! I'm still a little love bug at night though...love to snuggle with mom on the bed! That should make up for my vocal out-bursts lately, shouldn't it?
Rest in peace grandma. We miss you!
