Summer Vacation...

Well, Momma Carol just looked at my "last" diary entry, and she is making an "update", on my status...
The trip to Oregon never happened; my Mommy and her boyfriend decided to stay here, in Palm Springs, and we had even moved to a nice new apartment...
BUT...when neither of your human parents is working at a steady job, things just sort of "build-up", and now My Mommy and her b/f had to move, again...:o(
Soooooo, I am back out in the "country", at Momma Carol's Feline Farm, having a "vacation", until my Mommy can get her "act" together.
I like it here, there are 5 other kitties to play with, and then I am the only one allowed outside, in the daylight hours, because it is really, really "safe" here; no busy streets, and the predatory animals are only outside, after dark...
There is also a pretty, fluffy girl kitty here, named "Hannah Sioux" (she is Momma Carol's sister's kitty, whom Momma Carol is "fostering", because there are two large dogs at her home, that chase kitties, and one of them even had killed 2 of Hannah's litter-mates, when they were infants...:( Hannah is also on Catster, you can look her up, by her name, which is very unique, but you have to enter "both" names)
Anyway, she is very pretty!

Happy, Happy Me!

Momma Carol took me to be with my Mommy, Veronica, yesterday, because she had asked her to bring me to her, since she and her boyfriend will be moving to Portland, Oregon, next week...
At first, I was a bit confused, because this was a strange new home, and there were not any other kitties there, but an ancient, blind bulldog, who is my new playmate. (I will play, he will probably just lay there MOL!)
So when Momma Carol came back over, when she got off of work, I was all mellow and happy, so all is good, in my life, and I am back with my Mommy, again!
No more Smudge chasing me, but I will miss being able to play outside in the dirt; Momma did take my leash and harness, though, so my Mommy can take me for walks...

Raccoon !!!!

Good afternoon, Friends!
Well, this morning, we had a little "excitement" in our yard...When Momma went outside to feed the feral kittens, they and the Orange TomCat kept "nervously" looking back across the road...
I had ran out the door, as soon as Momma opened it, as I love to roll in the dirt, and watch the kittens eat their dry food from on top of Momma's car...
Well, Momma played a little, with the gray kitten, and she "almost" touched the b/w one, but he jumped back, when he saw that Momma was almost touching him...so anyhoo, she went back inside, and then she heard the chihuahuas from next door, barking furiously.
She thought they were barking at one of the cats, but when she looked out the window, she saw me standing next to a tree in the driveway, and a few feet above me, was this GIANT Raccoon!!!
I had my fur all "Fuzzied-Up", and was growling at it; I had never seen such an animal, before!!!
Momma came out and scooped me up, and tossed me back inside, and the 'coon ran down the tree, and under the trailer next door.
Momma noticed that it was limping and "favoring" one of its front paws; Her sister's Black Labs had killed two other 'coons from the same "family", because they had entered through their doggie door, and into the back porch of their home. Perhaps they had also injured the last 'coon, in the scuffle...
But an injured wild animal is a "dangerous" one, even the feral kittens and cats had enough sense to shy away from the larger animal. He was at least 40 lbs. and quite large...
Momma let me back outside, after about a half hour, when she was sure the 'coon had left the area...Just the fact that it was out after daylight, was very unusual...
Well, I had my "education", for the day...Time for a nap...

Words that sound alike but mean different things...

Hi Friends!
A little while ago, I was lounging behind Momma's laptop, and saw this little wire that "wiggled", so I bit into it!
Momma said it was the wire to her "MOUSE", but it didn't look like any "mouse" that I had ever seen...???
Momma said many "4-letter words" at me, and then she let me go outside for a while...
So sorry, Momma :-(

Vacation Time!

Hi Friends!
I am visiting at my "Auntie Carol's" for a week, while my Mommy goes on a Mexican Cruise!
I get to visit with my good buddies, Casper, Chloe, Junior, Moochy, Smudge, and Uno!
They remember me, and we all get along pretty well.
I will miss my Mommy Veronica, but there is lots to do here, like lay around or play in the "cube", or the tunnel, with Uno!
I will have a good time here, My Mommy does not have to worry about me, she knows Auntie Carol will take good care of me!
I just want Mommy to have some fun, on her cruise!
Maybe she will meet a nice cute guy, who will be good to her!

"Fast~Forward"

Well, my and my Mommy's life has been moving in "fast~Forward", this past week. First, we had to move from where we lived, and Mommy's Friend (Momma-Auntie Carol) let us come and stay with her, for about a week.
There were 6 other Kitties there, and I was very well-behaved, during my brief stay there.
Smudge, the "Mommy-Cat" tried to chase me alot, I guess because she had lived for many months, in the bathroom, and I sort of liked it in there, also. She would growl at me, and chased me alot.
Then, the other day, my Mommy went to visit the lady where we used to live, who is handicapped, and she asked my Mommy to move in with her, and help to take care of her. So me and Mommy moved "back" to where we just left from, just next door. (I was a little confused, and wanted to lay in front of my "old" place; I was so happy to be back there, that I immediately took a giant "dirt~bath", in the sand!
I was a very happy Kitty.
Momma Carol just worried about the fact that my Mommy lets me go outside, and we live on a somewhat "busy" street. Momma Carol says a prayer for both of us, each night, that we will both be "safe"...
