Hey guys. Huntys mom here. I posted about this in the forums but I figure I'd write about it here as well. Hunter has sprayed twice in the last week. I think it's because he is claiming his territory towards the cats outside. You guys can read about it on the forums.
I just need some help. I don't know what to do. I don't want him to be the type of cat that sprays all over the place.
I will contact his vet Tuesday but I really need help regarding this and what to do.
Thanks guys and I apologize for not being around. Guess life and stress has gotten In my way

Well I watched "My Cat From Hell" and they had one that I remember the cat was spraying too....it was because of the outdoor kitties...I think what they did was put the cat in a harness and leash and let him walk around and spray outside to mark his territory outside...you might try this...and then check "My Cat From Hell" to see what else they did...I just can't remember it all as I have never had that problem...
Cats spraying and peeing in the house isn't good because of the smell...it just never seems to go away...good luck.
You might try keeping him away from windows so he can't see the outside cats too.
My brothers Figaro and Czar are the only cats mom has had that sprayed...they both had urinary track/kidney issues even though with Fig the vet didn't recognize it right away. Good luck.
Tig is a sprayer. He started when we got Smitty, then after he was neutered, it stopped, then along the way I somehow got a colony of feral cats that like to hang out in our yard, and it ticks Tigger off. I take him out on his leash & he goes right to two bushes & lets loose. Once in a while he will do it in the house, and I wipe it with a green cleaner, then I use Nature's Miracle. Spray it good & let air dry - don;t wipe it. Then do it a 2nd time. It works. I also have Feliway plugs in my house, and I got the spray too. You use that on the spots that have been marked. I also got a couple of the sachets from the Calming Collar site. He is doing well - sometimes he gets a little agitated and get ready to, but all in all it is handled. I have one more male to TNR & it should help. Other than the inside stuff, you could get some of the repellant granules to try & keep the outside kitties away. Tig has had urinary 2 blockages in the past, I don't know if that added to it & now it is habitual, but I do notice a big difference when the Feliway runs out. You could also try Nature's Pet calming treats they work great too.
I meant that when Smitty was neutered, it stopped. He also got more amped up until Felix was neutered. So even if they are fixed, if there is an unfixed mael outside, it could be making Hunter upset.
