A day in the life of Hunter...

The vets, from MY point of view...

Alright so yesterday mom brought me to the vet. I knew it was yesterday so I greeted mom at the door when she came home from work. She brought my carrier into the bedroom with me and closed the door. Then she got out the treats. I’m no fool. She put the treat in my carrier, way in the back. Does she think I look stupid?? I didn’t get it. I could take it or leave it. Wasn’t my favorite treats anyway. After about 10 minutes of trying to get me to go into my carrier. Mom picked me up and put me in. I kinda fussed a little bit. But overall, it wasn’t traumatic. Then, mom put me in the car. I whined a couple of times. Mom always says I sound pathetic. Thank goodness its only a 5 minute car ride to the vets. I started to smack my lips together. I got carsick once when I was a kitten. Anyway, we got out of the car and walked into the office. We are always taken in right away.

The lady checked my weight, asked mom some questions and I just sat there on the scale, petrified to move. She said that Dr. Carlson will be with us shortly, and she left. Mom picked me up and we cuddled. About 3 minutes later the vet dude came in. That was it, I knew what he was going to do, I jumped out of moms arms and ran into my carrier. He and mom talked for a couple of minutes, then mom pulled me out of the carrier. Ugh! So I let him poke me, feel me, check my eyes, ears, nose, and then he got to my mouth. Said I need a dental cleaning! Oh geez… Its not my fault that I have bad teeth! Anyway, he kept on petting me. I was getting irritated. He flipped me over and had to search for my… man parts. Its not my fault I have a lot of fur! He commented on my pink paw pads. Yes they’re pink! No, I’m not a girl! He called me good looking to make up for it. Dude, I already know I’m a good looking mancat. No need to tell me. Mom tells me all the time. He told mom I have muscles of an athlete. No… really? I am the athlete of the family! The vet dude was getting on my nerves.

Finally he let go of me and I ran to mom. She picked me up and I didn’t want her either. I was done! I jumped over her shoulder, onto her back and jumped on the floor. I whined, and went into my carrier. I stayed there while the vet dude talked to mom for a while. I don’t like the vet dude all that much anymore. The vet ladies don’t poke and pet me all that much. But, mom likes the vet dude because he makes much more sense than the vet ladies. Anyway, the vet dude told mom that I am a very good looking boy, and that shes doing a great job! My mom is the best, I already knew that.

It was time to go home! Thank goodness. We went in the car and when I got in the house, I walked around for a little bit. Teaka sniffed me. I ran up my cat tree and into my bed. I was exhausted! So that is what really happened at the vets, from my point of view…

I thought I was the only kitty that think the vet is just a little too touchy feely ... mine is a lady but she puts that thing in my butt, feels on my man parts. I feel so violated, I just want mom to take me home so i can go to my safe place.
