Arrival Story:
November 29, 2010: Tia and Charley have been with me for 7 1/2 months. She has started snuggling really close to me at night and sleeping on my chest during afternoon naps. This just started in the last few weeks and I'm so very happy. She is standing up for herself when Charley gets too rough (or she just walks away with a disdainful sneer). She's also started drinking from a glass. Today, I picked her up for the first time in a long time and she let me. She stiffened up a little but she didn't fight me. August 31, 2010: Tia and Charley have been with me for 4 1/2 months. Tia has made so much progress; she spends almost all day out from under the couch. She is getting more and more talkative; and comes to tell me if the litter box isn't clean or if she's hungry. Once too afraid to stick her nose out, she now will play with Charley and swat him and hiss if he gets too rough. She still doesn't like to be picked up but she's getting better about it and she's actually let me pick her up and put her on my lap. Can't wait to see what the next 4 1/2 months bring. Tia was turned in to a local rescue organization due to the breakup of her family. That's really all I know about her right now. She didn't want to sit in my lap when I met her (and still doesn't) but she got as close as she could and purred like a little motor while I petted her. She's very sad now and I'm sure it will take sometime for her to trust me. I'm using April 13, 2006, as her birthday because that's the day she came into my life. August 8, 2010 Tia has been more talkative recently and has been standing up for herself. On a couple of occasions (while I was sitting on the toilet) Tia indicated that she'd like to be picked up. She wouldn't stay long. Today, I passed Tia in the hall and she meowed really loud at me and stood up on her back feet and put her front feet up in the air. I picked her up and carried her around a little while. She's done the same thing a couple of more times this evening. I think she wants to stay.

I met Tia at a PetSmart Adoption day. I already knew about her and made a special trip to meet her and Charley Bleau Eyes. They met for the first time that day and were the perfect lady and gentleman. Her first family named her TIA and she answers to it, so I didn't want to change it. The second name is a combination of my deceased best friend's name, Sybil Diane. It's also what my nephew, when he was just a toddler, called Sybil and her husband, David.

Hi every one.

If you remember, Mom had issues with my licking her in the face. She REALLY doesn't like it. Well, not much has changed. I still do it every time I get a chance. I have to lie on her chest and purr first; then when she drops her guard, I lick her face. I don't do it often so she doesn't know when I am going to strike!! She usually makes me move when I do it, so if I want to snuggle, I keep my tongue in my mouth. Have to keep her on her toes and active. After all she is a senior citizen. I just read over her shoulder that her high school class is having their 55th reunion. That's over half century!!

Well I'll sign off now and go plot some mischief.

This is MOM - I am so sad to hear about the demise of CATSTER and DOGSTER. We had a good run and I will miss all of our friends. If you want to send us an email address it to

I don't know what else to say except that I have loved this site for a number of years and found some wonderful people here. I have found a wonderful group of people and I am sad beyond measure that the owners don't feel the site is worth saving. I will miss all of you even I haven't been active this last year due to personal problems. Please keep a good thought for me and the cats. Right now I have to try to save our pages and diaries. Going to be a labor intensive project.

Can't write anymore right now.
