I am Ingen's official guardian angel and today I am busy, busy, busy looking for this little one who decided to take a stroll out of the motel room in Madison, Wisconsin last night! Her mom is traveling with her, Novi & Lil Bear and they are moving to Washington State. This is a call to every and all angels! We need to guide Ingen back to her momma right away! We love them deeply and cannot fathom anything but Ingen being back in her momma's arms! Please purr hard, rev them up, come with me to every cloud and start scouring the earth for her!
If anyone is on Facebook, please feel free to post this info: Ingen's missing.
INGEN! CAN YOU HEAR ME? FOLLOW MY VOICE BACK TO YOUR MOMMA RIGHT NOW!
Everyone join in!
As the oldest angel in my furmily, I will call the others to help with this mission of urgency!
thank you Groucho! If anyone is on Facebook, please feel free to post this info: Ingen's missing. I'm not on Facebook but please anyone else if you are, go ahead and post that.
Thank you Groucho, I edited my diary entry for people to add her info to their Facebook pages. The link takes you to her Craig's list ad and gives contact info.
The Mama has posted the Craigslist ad to her FB page. That's good that Ingen had a collar with phone # - we firmly believe she will make it back to her Mama!
Well, meowmy doesn't 'do' FB, but that is a good idea to post things there, too, so that even more peeps can know about this.
????? Sleeper how come you put a link coming right back to my page? MOL. I'm catfused.
We don't have a Facebook account either. We don't want one. But there are thousands of peoples and furries on there so someone might be able to help!
Whoops! Meant to put that on Panda's page, 'cause furs have already been checking it, and they needed to come look at yours! Let's try that again...
*giggles* that was funny Sleeper.
Alex - the craigslist ad link is on Facebook in a couple of places - my Mawmee's and also Nuk Anuk's Mom. I've put Ingen on the Purr List in the forum, and another pal started a forum thread.
We are purring strongly - we truly believe she will be found and returned! The red collar is gonna do it!
There are 240 cats who live in Madison, Wisconsin. Here is the stroll!
If you have time and can look through the stroll to see if any of these cats are your pals, maybe you could send them a note to see if they could be on the lookout for Ingen.
Here is where they stayed the night she went missing: Super 8 (4765 Hayes Rd. Madison WI) on Sept. 29.
I have my paws crossed and I'm purring up a storm. I am so hopeful she can find her way home, please Ingen, please come home.
We'll purr up a storm here too. We know what it is like. Do they have food out for Ingen? She'll probably be close and hiding. This is probably too late but we have tracking collars on the fur gang here now, and they are also chipped.
If Ingen is chipped, have they notified the chipping company of new phone numbers and also that she is missing? Purr purr purr from us.
Also if they have the money some people use tracking dogs to find the missing furs if it's only been a few days. There lots of info in the purrs and woofs for the missing in the links area and the forums, if that helps.
Ingen!!!! Ingen come back right this minute!!!!!!!I love you and I miss you and your mommy does too!!! Come on sweetie! It's been a hell of a month. You come right back!
no knead ta ask for help; we bee here N haza call into st francis two...
Thank you big time Samoa! I sent out an emergency notice to over 250 people on my newsletter and asked all of them to post on their Facebook and other social networking pages. They are doing it immediately and responding to me that they've contacted many other avenues as well!
Oh Balty, please help me! You know what this is like having just gone through this with Mr. D. But Ingen is not HOME. She's in a strange state! I don't know if she's microchipped or if they have food out, etc. I have not heard back from Jen since this morning but she is definitely got to be out combing the area! I know her...she will not leave or give up until she finds Ingen!
Jen is such a wonderful friend to everyone and we love them so much this will break our hearts into a million pieces if she doesn't return! I won't accept that! She's going to come back asap! HERE THAT INGEN???? GO BACK TO YOUR MOMMA! We're all shining a big spotlight for you!
I am helping too Ingen come out come out where ever you are right into your Moms arms safe again....
We are so sadden to hear she got out and is now missing...her family and Ingen is in our prayers...
I will send a special butterfly to fly around and look for her and guide her to her Mom...
gosh we haven't heard a word since this morning! Please Ingen! Please find your mommy! This is giving me an angel headache worrying.
sadly, jen and co. had to get moving. they are now in s.dakota. her sis ahas a friend outside milwaukee who will get her if found. sad purrs about this. Novi is heartbroken, as is jen
Panda why did she have to get moving? She couldn't stay another night?
Oh no!!! Nooo! What can we do? Is there anything? Did she run a newspaper ad by any chance? Oh I just feel sick!
Everyone, we shouldn't give up hope that someone will find Ingen and make contact. It was only last night, right? And even facing the possibility that she is not reunited with Jen, she may still find a home with some other good person. She is a pretty cat! But we still think it is going to work out!
No, don't worry - I don't take offense. I offer the thought as a form of hope. That stranger might be you or me, after all.
I just heard from a contact of mine in Greenbay Wisconsin. He's the head of a raw foods company there. He put out an SOS to all of their stores about Ingen and also on their Facebook page.
I'm sorry Sleeper, I truly am. I'm upset and didn't mean to take it out on you sweetheart. Please forgive me. I just can't bare this.
Alex, no need to apologize. It is upsetting. When the Mama lost Maya, she never really knew what had happened for sure. She and the Papa were torn up about it for weeks.
Oh, and to clarify - I was saying "good Going" to the healthfood guy putting out the word!
MOL, I figured that but thank you for clarifying! MOL. I also just sent an email to the Save a pet organization in northern Illinois.
BIG purrs for Ingen. We are very worried for her over here!!
Oh dear..we are so worried for Ingen. This can't have happened. We are going to ask our furamily angels to pitch in and help out.
Please make yourself seen Ingen so that you Momma can find you.
My mom added the alert to her FB. I just know Ingen's gonna be found. Just feel it. Had a kitty from Michigan got lost in Kentucky after a car accident who was found and taken home two weeks later. I know it can happen for Ingen, too! My whole family purrring like crazy.
Thank you Miranda and Nonny. We too have seen it on the news time and time again that pets can be found. Even years later. I just pray it's not that much time! We want it to be asap. Nonny yes, please. We need a whole slew of angels helping out!
Zach told us you need help. Mom put Ingen on petfinder's lost list for Jen and Diamond, your other little one you watch over wrote about Ingen in her diary. Her and Lil Bear have a lot of the same friends.
We live in Green Bay so Mom posted on her FB account in case any of her friends know someone that lives in Madison that can keep an eye out for her.
In the meantime, we sending purrs to Ingen's Mom and sending comforting purrs to Ingen so she can be found.
Sprinkling lots of angel dust for Ingen. Her poor Mommy must be frantic.
Mom says she wish it would be of some use to post to her FB page, but we don't know anyone who would be in that area.
Our hearts and purrayers are with Ingen and Jen.
(Angels) Misha, B.A., & Cappuccino
I'm only posting this as a possibility - do we know for sure that she got out of the hotel room? A friend mentioned that they hid inside the box springs in a hotel room and it took forever to find the cat. Also, is anyone contacting the hotel to see if any maids have seen the cat in the area. Cats don't usually wander off too far if they are scared, so it is possible she is hiding in the bushes nearby.
Misha - it doesn't hurt to post it anyway on Facebook. You never know if one of your Mom's friends has friends in Wisconsin or knows someone that knows someone!
That's a good point Samoa. I hope that Ingen's mommy left the information with the hotel and the workers, there's a good chance she didn't go far and will turn up right by the same place. If she is still in the room, the cleaning staff will probably find her. (Mommy spent 1 VERY short month of her high school life working as a maid before she had to quit, it was a horrible job, she just couldn't do it) But chances are very good kitty will turn up if she's in the room when that big industrial vacuum goes off or all the other stuff they do to clean up rooms.
Maybe we can send fliers to the hotel too. I'm worried that if there aren't any fliers up, another guest might see the cat and take it for their own. Hopefully she'll still have her collar on, which would help prevent that.
Great idea, Monida! If the hotel has an email, we could at least send the Craigslist link so they would have a picture of Ingen to post in the lobby.
Sending out lots of purrs for Ingen.
has anyone sent the Craigslist flyer with photos to the Super 8 yet?
I will call them first, if not, and let them know I am e-mailing it. Please let me know.
I have called the motel - the man at the desk did know about Ingen, but didn't have the photos. The photos have now been e-mailed as per the Craigslist ad page.
Sleeper you're amazing!!! Samoa yes, I heard from Jen and she said she got out while she was taking Lil Bear out for a bathroom break. Sleeper again, thank you for doing that. I think we have to start sewing up the holes that are left so we can find her faster. Misha, even if your friends aren't in that area, THEY may know someone who is. Please pass it along anyways. Teebo thank you so much!
Oh I forgot to mention Samoa and everyone that yes, she said they tore that room apart and even the mattresses, etc. everything.
All our family are sending all our purrrs from the uk, we are purring as loud as we can, Ingen please, please find your way home, we love you loads xx
I feel like I cannot think straight! I'm typing in circles and don't even know which post I'm on anymore. Sheesh! I need lunch. Anyways, I just heard from her and figured this out so I understand a little more. I’m hoping she can go back at some point but this is what she said.
I am traveling with my nephew and he only has 5 days off from work to help me with this move. This put me on a really tight schedule. Pulling a trailer and having to make numerous stops, is really slowing everything down.
As it is, we are only in Wyoming on day 3. Not sure we are going to make WA, today. He has a flight out scheduled for Sunday nite.
If I had been alone--I would have stayed.
It's good that we're all keeping up the effort while she deals with just getting to her destination. We need to keep this going.
Would you mind contacting the hotel again to see if they could leave some wet food out near the lobby. We all know that when cats are scared, they don't travel off too far. If we could find a sympathetic hotel employee, they might be able to capture Ingen by feeding her.
Another idea would be to contact a rescue group in that area and see if they could leave a trap out near the room where Jen stayed.
That's a great idea Samoa! I had emailed an organization called Save a pet yesterday in Illinois. I haven't heard back from them. Here's the website: Save a pet
Thanks Samoa and Alex. You're right. Mom posted to her FaceBook page this morning.
Oh any it doesn't have to be JUST Facebook. ANY AND ALL social networking sites you belong to including any other forums, please post it everywhere.
This might be a long shot if someone has time to call. There is a Madison shelter called Shelter from the Storm:
Allison Davies, Executive Director and Founder
When I put their address into Google maps:
1602 Blossom Lane Madison, WI 53716
and then the address of the hotel
4765 Hayes Road, Madison, Wisconsin
they don't appear to be too far from each other. Maybe we could get a sympathetic ear from Allison Davies and she might have some local contacts who could help.
Here is their volunteer coordinator - she might be a great resource in finding a cat lover who could possibly drive over to the hotel to look for Ingen.
Michelle Goodall, Volunteer Coordinator
am moving to the thread. Have called the shelter...
good idea. Maybe you can take some of the important info from here and copy and paste in that thread too.
I don't know how busy the craigslist site is for Madison, but don't forget to cross post the information under 'pets' and 'lost and found'. More eyes will see it that way. They don't let you simultaneously post matching adds but you can if you space them out a little or change the wording.
Here is a photo montage of Ingen if anycat wants to use it.
You can right click on it, look for "Save Picture As" to save to your computer. Remember where you have saved it.
Then, if you need to email it, you'll have it on your computer.
I need CONTACT INFO to put on the flyer - should I just put Dane Co. Humane Society?
The red collar has a contact phone number but she might have slipped out of it.
Info I need to know to pass along to Spooky who lives in Madison.
What "terms of endearment" does Jen use when she talks to Ingen.
Does she have nicknames for her? Does she talk in a high voice?
Anything that will help people that are looking for her. I read that she doesn't like to be picked up.
Does she have a favorite wet food?
OK - have talked to some nice sounding young man at the motel. He says they did receive the flyer and will see about posting it. I think he was sincere. I repeated that if anyone should find Ingen, that they should contact the Dane County Humane Society. What really sounds promising to me, however, is Spooky right there in Madison! I will post this at the forum thread, too.
