Hi everyone, just throwing this out there to anyone in the New England area. This kitty is in the Weymouth MA area and desperately needs help. This is the message I received this morning from one of my members of my site:
Two years ago, we gave our friends grandparents an 11 year old cat that someone posted on our cat rescue board. We thought that it was perfect, they were old, and the cat was old. Anyway, fast forward to now and the grandmother doesn't want him anymore - AND - she wants him gone in a week. The grandfather was recently diagnosed with cancer and he doesn't have much time left. Would you happen to know ANYONE that would consider adopting a 13 year old declawed long haired cat? He was recently vet checked and the vet said that he was healthy (just overweight). No no-kill shelters will take him because of his age and if we bring him to the MSPCA then he'd probably be euthanized in a fairly short time. If you can think of anyone that would give him a chance, please ask them. Ebony has lived with clawed cats in the past and I believe that he also used to live with a dog. For the last two years, he's been an only cat.
If any of you know someone who would take this kitty, please let me know asap and I’ll get you the contact information. Here is a picture of him: Ebony
Poor Ebony! What a handsome boy. Purring for a happy news!
Poor guy!!! I'll be sure to watch him over with you, Alex, and purrrr that someone can help!
Thanks Alfie and Indy! He is a handsome guy isn't he?
If someone further away wanted to adopt, Momma could help with transportation.
He is a handsome dude - we'll purr that he finds a home soon!
Rufus that's awfully nice of you. I'll let my friend know that. Thanks Inky, we can use all the purrs for him we can get.
I wish that I could help since I don't live far away but my two are not friendly with each other. We have a small place....I can post his picture in the Teachers' Lounge.
I can help with transport too.....
Oh Natasha that would be wonderful! Especially since he's in your vicinity!
He is so handsome. Poor Ebony. We are purring for him to
find a good home.
Mom can help with transport if you need our help.
Thanks Biggles! I appreciate it. If any of you know anyone that would take him please ask him. We really want to see him go to a good home.
Our meowmy can email her old pal who lives is MA, & see if she might know of anyone...
Yes, that would be great thank you!
Wow! His eyes speaks volumes. Very intense. I like intense.
I hope they/you find a home for him. He's beautiful.
He is beautiful isn't he! Poor sweetheart.
Oh boy...he sure is handsome. Purrs he finds a home.
My friend just told me that the husband already passed away today.
Mom says this is when she needs her cat the most. We are great listeners and snugglers.
Mom said Blackie licked her tears away one time. That was the one that visited her in her dream and told her not to be sad, that he was just fine.
We don't know what she's going to do but so far by the sounds of it she just doesn't want him anymore.
Sad. Maybe they never bonded. Mom was givin a dog one time, and her roommate was way closer to the dog than Mom ever was. It's chemistry. Mom actually believes the animal picks it's owner.
Seeing that she is picking up a kit tomorrow that she has only seen once, she hopes that Gris likes her. MOL!
yeah, I'm not judging her. She's obviously going through a horrendous time. She just lost her husband and everyone reacts differently. I just want to find him a home but also a better home with more love for him.
Oh I agree, totally.
ooh my this is just to sad poor guy I hope the lady will change her mind, this is too much for him to lose his companion and then have to lose his home too.
Wish there was some thing we could do.
Purring as hard as we can that this furry handsome dude kitty will find a great and loving home.
He looks like some type of nebuling or forest kitty, he sure has piercing intelligent eyes!
I'll be purring for him.
My heart is aching for this kitty but I can't take him in. I have asked others. This is how many teachers end up with a kitty. We have such big hearts and want to help. I hope that this woman changes her mind. Kitty will help her through this difficult time. ......
Maybe Ebony's vet knows someone who would be willing to take him?
No word yet on what's happening with him. I'll have to ask my friend.
Concats on your diary pick today!
Thank you Skylar!
