An Angel's Notes for the Day

This is one of those days

This is one of those awful days where momma wishes she didn't turn the computer on. So many kitties went to the bridge this morning! Gosh we hate those full moons. They do strange things, comings and goings. Arrivals and departures. We had stopped doing this for a little bit, but because some of these parents are so distraught and so badly in need of comfort, we feel we need to send some new friends over to them. Well one of them isn't on Catster so we can't do that, so it just goes to show it's not just happening here, sigh!

Poor Hops is DOTD and we just read his diary entry. It's so incredibly sad mom could hardly bare to read it. Please visit his page and PLEASE send friend requests and comfort. She's tormented by this horrible accident. Why does that always happen here? I've seen this alot when a kitty gets an honor and their diary is of them going to the bridge. Anyways, his mom is very scared and I'm not comfortable with her level of grieving, it's concerning to me so please go and offer support like I know only Catsters can! I just left a long comment in his diary but it's not showing up. I thought it was Catster fleas at first but it looks like all comments need approval first so be patient!

Also, Bobcat has crossed the bridge after suffering heart failure last night. He had been fighting CRF for a long time but last night his mom noticed something bad happening to him and rushed him to the ER. He went into heart failure and he had to be helped to the bridge. Please visit his page and offer support to them also.

Also, our wonderful new friend Simba recently went to the bridge and he doesn't have a lot of friends. His mom is having trouble with people outside of Catster telling her to MOVE ON and GET BACK TO NORMAL! Again I growl. She's very happy we've been writing to tell her that Catster is the one place that will NEVER EVER tell her anything like that. So I know she'd really appreciate others going to friend her and doing the same. It will give her a lot of comfort, she's such a nice lady.

And I don't even want to talk about Vern. He had an appointment with a neurologist yesterday. I don't like the sounds of this. Please purr for him, we'll have to pull together for him again and big time! My little sweetheart, I've fallen so in love with him.

On a couple of GOOD notes...Monster's mom saw us talking about looking for an extra carrier for Lacey and she's sending us one!!!!! Can you believe it!? Catsters are the BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST!!! She's got an extra one in her basement so she's shipping it to my mommy! Mom is just constantly surprised at how wonderful and lovely all the kitties and parents are here. Mom had a very rough life and has never met such a nice bunch of humans that do so many terrific things for each other. Honestly, it's all given her hope again and like so many others here, she doesn't feel alone anymore. Thank you Monster and Monster's mommy!!!

And our cousin Midnight is doing better. She's now on prednisone and Flagyl (antibiotic) and doing a whole lot better just in a couple of days! Thank you all so much for those purrs, there is NOTHING that works better than a ton of kitties purring at the same time. It's magic! My mommy loves her so much and she loves mommy too. Pilling her is an adventure though that's for sure. She's got SUPER long nails that have never been cut. Let's just say that Midnight's mom, (mom's sister), is NOT a good mommy. This is why my momma cares for her kitties. But all of these Catster purrs are being heard and once again we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Okay, gotta go. It's a busy day unfortunately but I think Finney is going to lighten things up this afternoon sometime with a good, funny diary! So look for that. Thanks everyone. We love you.

There are no comments for Hops' diary because they have to be approved by the owner. None have been so far. I know the entry is disturbing, but sometimes it reflects more about the writer's fears than the animal's. And, understandably, she was in shock - he was only 3. Don't know if she has even been back. Some people don't realize that this is the purrfect place to reach out, which is a terrible shame.
We have sent messages of support to all you mentioned! Maybe Vern will have another auction - FUN! Only this time, since we have some warning, mom is going to make something for it too!!
It seems that certain weeks are bad for kitties going to the Bridge, but we have gotten LOTS of good news in the past few weeks, and we treasure every bit of it!!! Luv, Tink

Hi Tink, yes I did say that about the comments needing approval. Also, I do have 2 pawsitive things that happened at the bottom of my diary. It's not all bad news.

I did notice that, and I should have said that Monster is our hero of the day - that was VERY Cool!!! And glad Midnight is doing better, she's always in our purrayers!!!
I guess I'm just kinda surprised that we had a pretty long break for most of a month, bad news kinda slowed to a trickle, and it seems to be true that when it rains, IT POURS, kinda like it's doing again outside right now!
Love you guys, and thanks for watching over so many kitties! Luv, Tink

It's RAW and raining where mommy is too Tink and very cold. Blech! Where is that beautiful spring? I know, it was a nice break from all the losses and honestly we wish we didn't have to talk about this stuff. We just wanted to make sure some of these parents had some support. Simba's mom is SUCH a nice lady and really appreciative of having others know how she's feeling. I don't know what to say about Hops. Maybe it's too painful for her to come back here. That was a tremendously sad diary entry, I hope she can find some comfort and read our entries.

Monster! You gotta talk about poop and vomit! That's how you get those honors. Seriously! Tell the diary girl you had some kind of really funny poop episode and voila! High honors. Don't know why she likes it so much. Either that or Hazel Lucy used to get it when she'd grumble! Grumble grumble grumble. Hey, maybe now I'll get something too. MOL.

But you are definitely our hero Monster.

Thanks for letting us know about Simba. We were not friends with them, but sent an invite today! I'm also going to sprinkle down angel dust on little Vern. We want them to find out what is wrong and get him well again! Purrs to Bobcat and Hop's families during this sad time.

Oh yeah Mom feels the same, like not coming on here because of all of the sadness, but then she remembers there are cats and Moms that need us to be there for them just like they were here for we stay.

It is a sad day, so many leaving, we just wish that no more kitties would have to leave their Moms....we are purring and praying for them all...and we send them our deepest sympathies.

Oh Alex and Mom we are so happy to hear that Midnight is feeling better, but we will continue to purr and pray that she will keep on feeling better...

Hugs and Purrs

We weren't friends with them either but offered our condolences and the next thing we new Simba's mom was writing to us saying thank you for being there for me. Then we noticed they don't have that many friends either so we wanted to show her how loving everyone here is. Oh little Vern. Such a mess that whole thing is. We refuse to believe it's as serious as this vet is making it out to be. How on earth could he be doing the things he does? I don't get it. But we're all supporting him and I think that's helping him heal a lot!

Ruffy I didn't know you were Kewl Kat of the week! We'll have to head over there. Ruffy you are a chicken addict! Are there meetings for stuff like that? MOL

Yes, Xena! Thank you for continuing to purr for Midnight because she's not out of the woods. But the last couple of days since we started her medicine, her nose is nice and PINK. Before it was really white and would only get pink a little bit. Her eyes look brighter and she's got what we call "Batman" ears. MOL. Thank you all so much for purring for her. You're all amazing and she thanks you deeply! she's the biggest love bug and adores my grammy and grampy.

Thank you, Angel Alex, for all the updates. Thank you for being around and being supportive to so many kitties who need it. We'll also purr for all in need and visit their pages. That's great to hear about the carrier that Monster sent ~ wow, what a generous thing to do! Hooray for that. But sad purrs for the sad news.

It's been a very hard day in catsterland with all of these sweet kitties being sick or crossing the bridge. Aryeh is good friends with Rufus and I am sure he went with Staush to sprinkle healing dust on their family and to be there for Bobcat.

I would suppose that Hops' own Mom is "not comfortable with her level of grieving." My own family knows personally about "goodbyes said too soon and without warning." It starts out a usual day. In the next moment, tragedy strikes. In a matter of a few momentsminutes, your world has been upended. I can't say that I find Hops' diary especially worrisome, although it is incredibly sad and tragic. (There was another kitty some time ago, who had a fall from a shower curtain rod. That fall ended his 9th life and began his 10th at the Bridge. Sadly, I honestly cannot remember his/her name.)

In an accident like Hops' added emotional distress is bound to enter into the grief emotional equation. Although an accident by definition is: "An unexpected and undesirable event, especially one resulting in damage or harm." It's an all too human quality to review the "If only" "I could have/I should have..." scenarios. I would think there are very few of us who have never thought those same things in regards to the passings of our own furry family members.

I would think too that Hops' Mom is of a more private type. (Based purely on her preference to moderate comments before permitting their posting.) Perhaps also, it is just too painful for her to return to Hops' page. She would not be alone as a Catster, if that were the case. Quite of a few of our friends have confessed just how hard it is sometimes to have to go to their angel's page to read the comments left on their diary, read rosettes and pawmails.

Thank you though Alex, I understand your concern is borne out of your caring for others and it is important work that you do. Gathering and sending purrs, comfort and friends to those who need is no small task.
I am glad to read of Monster and his incoming new carrier and how Cousin Midnight is doing. Bobcat, Simba and Vern we have already visited

I agree on all fronts. I actually didn't know this kitty at all. I found out from someone on the Hazel Lucy get well purr list. They wanted us to go and comfort his mom. Then we read her diary and wow! Just made us so sad. There was a depth to it that sounded like she urgently needed to hear someone tell her that he's not alone and not at all in the dark and sad. But regardless, I hope she does find comfort, somehow from someone. Whoever that may be. We wish her healing and love.
