Hi everyone, just wanted to check in and let you know we are still here but not around much. Mom is so stressed out it's not funny. We have a lot going on and she's trying hard not to let it affect me and Lacey but it's tough. Gramps is always yelling at mom, he's really not the nicest man to honest with you. He's always treated mom like she doesn't matter and has always said hurtful things to her.
We will purrr for your momma. Our momma stresses out a lot too. Give your momma lots of love and cuddles. And tell her that little Tigey says stress is bad for our humans and to take care of herself - Momma has to take time outs to think about kittens to get through her day MOL!! Meows, sorry you'all are feeling stressed and upset, you are in our purrs and hope things get better, purring for peace for you. Love, Miss Minerva and family MOL, Tigey that's so cute. I'll tell my meowmy to try that. Thank you so much Miss Minerva, you're a sweet and loving friend. At least we know when we come here, we have lots of kitties and peoples that love us. And we love you all right back. That's what life is supposed to be about. Mom says there are 2 kinds of people in this world. Radiators (who radiate love and kindness) and drains (who suck the life right out of you). We try hard to surround ourselves with radiators but we can't control our neighbors (obviously) and we can't pick our families. I think I need to go and give grampy a big smackeypaw. (((((HUGS)))) and PURRS! Mommy was not treated well when she had Grandad and Paw Paw to take care of, so we understand the added stress along with the everyday stuff they can not control. Keep handing out the fur lovins! Pep It stinks doesn't it Pepper. We know quite a few kitties on here that have the same thing going on. Mom says she wishes to could go to a spa or something! Get all pampered. That'll be the day, no moolah for that kind of stuff. But me and Lacey will snoozle her in bed and kiss her toesies. that might help. Hi Finney and Lacey. We're here for you ((hugs)) and for your Mom too ((more big hugs)). Bad neighbors are just the worst. And I think old people sometimes just get difficult in their old age. Your Mom is one of the most wonderpurr person we know. She is so caring and nice. She's not a failure at all. You tell her not ever to think that. When people say bad things, sometimes you just have to have thick fur and let it roll off you. Can your Mom find out who the landlord or owner of the apartment complex is and ask them to fix the fence? Many purrs and prayers for your Mom. Mom says thank you and she wishes she could go and give you a big huge snoozle!!! Yeah, mom lets things roll off her for a long, long time. That's the problem. Then when it comes out, it REALLY comes out! The guy with the fence is the nice one. So mom is all set with that, he's gonna fix it sometime in the next month or so and mom is okay with that as long as he does it. She even told him she doesn't care what it looks like as long as the kids can't dump stuff and crawl through it. He's a funny guy too so maybe they will become good friends, you never know. It's our other neighbor who is directly next to us who's a big jerk. And actually grampy has always been this way. Always! That's easy Mr. Micky, that's all of you here at Catster! See this is why we knew we could come here to talk about it. Mom doesn't need to be coddled or anything, we just want positive vibes and you guys are so pawsome at that! We're lucky to have found Catster. No matter where else we go, this place has the bestest kitties ever! Headbonks? Do headbonks help? I think headbonks help! Let's do it! Finney, I'd tell your Mum not to worry so about her grumpy neighbour. As eventually HE will move or get too old to even bother irritating her. Wasn't too long ago she and her brother were kids and driving one of ours CRAZY! Use to come out of his house and SHOUT at us for being noisy. Dad said to him, no raised voice;- 'If you have a problem with my CHILDREN playing on their own street. Have a go at myself or my wife. Just leave my KIDS out of it. As once upon a time YOU were one too!' In reply;- The man said;- 'I'm really sorry and it won't happen again'. He stuck to his word. Of course we're now ADULTS and no longer do such thing. So, being now OLD himself. He's NO longer able to 'HAVE A GO!'. The funny bit being he was in WW2. You would of thought he'd be use to NOISE. Not moaning about two noisy children having fun. Stupid fool, MOL!!! Wait until I get my paws on him. How dare HE pick on my HUMANS. Finney, believe me, you don't want to be messing with a CALICO! I hope that little story helped un-stress Mum a bit. Isn't long out of her teens. So, there's always plenty of stories to tell. Anyway........ :) Ooops, sorry it's long! :( Blizz is too funny! Our meowmy is having a ton of way heavy stress, too,from her work, but she can't talk about it...not allowed...so whatevfur! She is evfur so glad she has us furs and Catster (yes and Dogster) to help and have stress-less fun in. Many hugs to you and your furmily! Kitty kisses and headbonks, too...and some kneads and purrs! Yanking out weeds is a good stress reliever, too...then you get too tired to think at all! MOL! We are glad that your Mom has found a new friend. Purrs! Our neighbor is younger than mom and he's a jerk! So I don't think he's gonna get old that fast. MOL. Hopefully they will move but they just got here so I doubt that will happen anytime soon. Mom is just giving up. This neighborhood isn't any fun anymore. Everything changed last June when mom's uncle who lived on this street died. He was the life of the neighborhood and everyone was out on the street talking with them and each other. It was fun. Not anymore. Everything has changed. But maybe a bunch of you Catsters could come over here and really smackeypaw that guy! MOL. Chloe you sound like you're up for it. WeeBees, we're sorry your meowmy is having stress too. Seems like everyone is lately. Mom says she'll take all the kitty kisses, headbonks and everything else you guys have! She says they are healing magic. My mom understands about your mom's dad. There are such parents out there who can say things that are hurtful. She had such a dad. It was sad when he passed away but she felt bad that he had such a bitter life. He didn't trust anyone. My mom left home for college and never returned. She was only 18 when she left. Your mom really needs to get away from such negative people and that includes that neighbor. My mom does weed when she is stressed or goes walking.......Yes, there are friends going to th bridge. My mom gets into those crying spells and then she remembers me. I whisper to her that she should remember the good times and there were many of then....You, guys, are so special to her. Give her some head bumps tonight and purr into her ear to comfort her.. Things are just as tough here financially for everybody so mom can't even save right now for leaving. She has been thinking that she has to figure something out but grammy begged mom the other night not to leave. And mom is afraid that if she did leave, grammy would go downhill. Plus mom is the only one who can give Midnight her medicine twice a day. Midnight's mommy, my mom's sister, won't do it. And grammy can't do it without mommy. sheesh! Mommy has to do everything. Natasha we're sorry your mom had a daddy like that. Our grampy has always been like this to mom too. Mom has left and come back and left and come back, mostly for grammy's sake and to take care of her. She told grammy the other night that when she dies, mom is not staying to take of grampy, she's had it. He's so ungrateful and berating to her. Mom's stayed here for years taking care of them, YEARS. Enough. Gee your mommy and my mommy should get together! MOL. MOL, Timo! We have a dog-guy here so...Dogster is part of meowmy's life, too...know what...over there she is known as Growlmy...but she doesn't growl, really! I, Minko love my dog-guy, but Pipo not so much... But...lately the kitties have been way more active than the pups! MOL! Hi buddy! You know our Mom's chated earlier today, Mom couldn't believe the dude next door. How horrible! Personally, I thank you should ask Angel Alex the Beautiful Observer to go scare him out of that house!! We love you guys and keep up the great work on the website. That's a good idea Zach although I don't know if she's up for scaring people. But maybe because it's for my mom she will. Her loyalty to us is fierce!! We love you too buddy, furry, furry much. My daddy goes to a pub quiz game once a week with some buddies from work and my mommy has her boxing, good to get the parents away from each other sometimes (even though mommy works from home and daddy works in a building so they are apart ALOT! hehehe!) Everybody needs breathing space. I bets there are some really cheap or free activities your mommy could do to get some social free time away from home. She could also go volunteer at a kids group, animal shelter, church group, etc etc etc, whatever she likes. That might helps! But... until then... MORE RIVER HEADBONKS! Careful, I'm not as big as Finney but I'm still a mighty hard headbonker! Sending your momma purrs and hugs. We are all so sad for yer Mom. Stress is not a good thing for kitties or peeplz. Mom wishes she could live next door to yews cause my dad would come fix yer things and she would come "fix" yer Gramps. She helps care for her mom and dad who are in dere 90s now. It is so hard when da parents become da children! Mom has a thing she spins round in her head (think it is called a mantra): "They do not decide who I am. God made me who I am and He is perfect, so I am perfectly made." I think she has some other things that go round her head, too, but probably would get us banned from Catster! I thinks Lacey should go pee on Gramps bed where he won't see it. And it would dry before bedtime so he'd sleep in kitty pee and we would all snicker! As for da dumb neighbor: His rights end where your property begins. Take pictures of da poor flowers, call the cops, and send him a bill for property damage. Tell you mom, Finney, there is only one thing thats certain and that is change. Sometimes mom says it helps to go out to a movie and spend a few hours away from people stressing you out.... and tell you mom she should sell her flower photos! Mom's got to go outside today and move her plants from the front where the dumb guy is running over them. To be honest mom would like to write a book about Alex and about IBD and stuff. But her mind is so mush she cannot think clearly at all. It's hard enough just to do the newsletters and stuff. No energy in the body and no energy in the brain. Or do you have to have a famous person that lived there? Vitamin D! Mom swears by it. Your grandpa sounds very much like mom's mom. It got so bad with her last summer that my mom stopped talking to her. No regrets. Of course, her mom lives 600 miles away, not downstairs. And here's an idea - maybe there's a cosmetology school near you where your mom could go and get a haircut or a facial for free. They're always needing "models." We has been feelin tha sames ovfur here in Califurnia too. Mommy's mouth surgery is coming up realllllllll soon and she's so scurrrred, so we understands tha stress you and yr mommy must be feelin. I am gonna send you big strong purrrrrrrs ta boost you, Lacey and yr Mommy's spirits and hearts! All great ideas up above about getting out of the house. Now mind you Mom isn't a book warm never has been but when she was a teenager she loved going to the Library to do research. And she also would go just to look at all the Art and Advertising Books. Art just doesn't have the bold colors and detail on the computer screen as in high quality books. (not unless you can afford one of those Macs with the 19in widescreen high dollar monitors like Mom sweats every time she goes in the Apple store.) Here's a bonus...because most people can do their research at reading at home now, most libraries aren't crowded. Oh and Finn I'm happy our Mom's are close too because they really do need each other right now. And with every thought shared between them they just get closer which is the beautiful part of friendship. Through Thick and Thin buddy, through thick and thin! That's a promise. Right back atcha Zach buddy! I think it's what's gonna save our mommy's sanity! Monster mommy has been taking all kinds of vitamins including vitamin D. But nothing helps her as much as being in the purest form of vitamin D, the sun. So that's what she forced herself to do for awhile today. Mom took some of her daylilies out of that front spot where he parks and planted them somewhere else. She has two prickly barberry bushes there but they don't cover the whole thing. She's gonna try and find something else super picky (heh heh) to plant there so he gets poked in the bum everytime he gets out of his car. MOL. Only problem is she can't by barberry anymore, it's considered invasive. Oh Kitty Pryde! Mommy was thinking of calling your mommy a lot lately. I think she will now knowing your mommy has that surgery soon and she needs us. We'll be purring up a storm for your mom and my mom will help her get through it. (frankly it's easier than thinking about what's going on here, it'll take her mind off of it). PS- forgot. we love the nail idea in the front yard. It's like this, dood, when all else fails, be glad you woke up and be happy that you've lived..and enjoy the ride. It's all we can do. If we can't enjoy the ride, then what is life about anyhow?? O yeah. we'd cook up the chicken neighbors and feed dem to a dog somewhere. Howz dat? Think Lucy is smokin' catnip. why would we want to make a poor dog eat dat? I think it's a great idea!!
