Hello every fur and furette! I have some wonderful news in my floof forecast! It's 60 degrees here in the northeast and stuff is melting like crazy. But that's not the best part. Momma spent 2 hours outside chopping ice and shoveling it (still not the best part) and she said 3 of her trees are covered in buds!!! Yup, and so is the neighbor's 2 giant maple trees across the street. And we know for a fact they're budding and throwing off some pollen because for the last 3 days momma's been walking around going "ACHOOO ACHOOOOOOO AAAAAACCCCHHOOOOOOOOO!!!" MOL. She only does that when spring is just around the corner and she is getting pollen up her nose. She doesn't have a cold, she knows the difference believe me.
Plus momma is a super duper fantabulous gardener and KNOWS her stuff so if our trees and shrubs are already budding way up here in NH, then you can bet your bippy spring is forcing it's beautiful face through the ugly winter! Whoo hoo!! We have the windows open right now, mommy is pooped and very sore though. Which means Lacey better get her massaging feeties ready. Mommy's going to need it for the next couple of days. Mom says she's getting in shape to be ready for digging up the back yard for her veggies as soon as the ground is thawed. She says no fooling around this year! I'm getting right on it and we're gonna be ready.
Oh and we got the best prezzie today. One of our friends Maggie, who is the first kitty on our Living with IBD section of our website, sent us this way cool bed that her momma made by hand! It's so neat. Mom's taking pictures of it but it's very cool. So today has been a good day so far. Lots of fresh, warm air, birdies in the yard, a nice new prezzie to play and sleep in. Except poor Maggie is not feeling so good. She has to go to the vet today, she might have asthma. Her momma is really nervous and scared. So any extra purrs for our beautiful Abyssinian friend Maggie would be much appreciated. Here's the link, if you scroll down you'll see her pictures: http://ibdkitties.net/livingwithibd.html. Thanks everyone! Have a furtastic day and weekend!
Luv Finney the extra floofy butterscotch floofinator

Purrs for your friend Maggie, Asthma is scary.I hope you enjoy your spring time. It's my favourite time of the year but we are at the tail end of our summer so it's all still good.
Awwww man. We cannot wait for winter to be over here. It's SICKENING! It'll be cold again, it's only Feb. but still. The trees budding means it's coming soon!
It's been warm here too - it's been in the 50's the last couple days. I got to go outside for a nice walk this morning. But now momma is a little debilitated cuz she tore her calf muscle after that - she said she heard a pop and her calf muscle hurt and now she's hobbling around. She's never heard a noise like that, but she looked it up and it happens. Oh well, she'll recover. It's always fun to see the buds and see all the plants popping up out of the ground in the spring. Yeah for spring! It sounds like you kitties got a super nice prezzie :)
whoa Gumpy! Is your momma okay? She should have that checked out, I don't think that's normal. Oooh that had to hurt! So the wind is whipping like crazy around here now. No sooner did I talk about spring but that nasty lady mother nature decided to get back at me for it. Oh well. Mom still insists she knows what she's talking about.
I'm gonna put up pictures of my new prezzy pretty soon. Sounds like you're feeling pretty good Gump, since you got to go for a walk.
Yeah, Finney, she was a little freaked out at first because of the noise. But Momma looked it up and a pop sound does happen with calf injuries and tears. She's not really in pain, except if she tries to walk normally. She can hobble around though. She'll be okay. I have been feeling much better this week; I had my B12 shot on Wednesday, which is always good. It's been really windy here, too.
That's good Gumpy. We wouldn't your momma to not take care of herself! We know she'll jump into action asap to take care of you and Nadi but she has to be good to herself too. Hurray for B12! That stuff is like gold! That's furtastic to hear Gumpy. Keep it up! You're a strong guy and have a lot of years left in you. We refuse to let you go! MOL
We were outside all day and the windows were open! It was 70 degrees here!!!! It won't stay that way, but it was so invigorating to finally get some FRESH AIR. I was a good girl just so I wouldn't get taken inside early.
The neighbors were very happy to see me and GUSHED all over me!! What a FABULOUS day!
We're purraying for Maggie & can't wait to see the photos of the new bed! Luv, Tink
Well of course they gushed over you Tink! Who in their right mind wouldn't? We did hear from Maggie's mom just now and she's got pneumonia. So she'll need some steroids and antibiotics but the good news is there's no tumor or anything else blocking her airway! So we just have to make sure now the medicine works. Maggie's mom is a wonderful momma and we know she'll keep a close eye on her.
Glad spring is coming for you! It was almost 80 here today - spring is here!
