Mostly Mysterious Mango
The Cancer that bit meApril 12th 2010 7:29 am[ Leave A Comment | 6 people already have ]
I like to hide and I do it very well. My mom says she only has to think of the vet and I disappear. I also have made it a sport to hide from human and animal visitors. But there is one thing I could not hide from and that thing is called CANCER. A few years ago, cancer found my tail. I must have left it sticking out and cancer bit me and would not let go. When I could feel its teeth gripping my tail every day, I needed to show mom. I swished and swished and swished in mom's face until she saw the bite of the beast. Then, it was time to hide under the headboard of mom's bed as I knew what she was thinking.

Your friend, Teddy Kittedy Under the headboard is my fave spot because they can't see me from above or the side. A human has to crawl halfway under the bed to see me so they usually decide to wait until I come out on my own. Where is your spot ? Can use some ideas.... I have a couple. In the guest room, I hide up by the headboard, but at the side -- between the bedskirt and the bedspread. No one can see me from any side. Or, way in the back of My Mommy's closet. No one can see me behind all the shoes. I am a bit worried about my closet hiding place though. Recently, a soft, plushy catbed has appeared in the back of the closet -- really comfy, but I wonder why My Mommy put it there?? Then, there's hiding in plain sight. Mommy looked and looked for me one day. She was sure I hadn't left the room (where we cats can't be without "supervision). She even moved some furniture to find me -- while I watched her from a shelf in the bookcase. MOL Thanks Teddy, Nothing including cancer would find me in a closet, I must try that soon ! Now have to wait for that door to open, Mang YOU are still VERY HANDSOME with or without your tail! We are sad you lost your tail, BUT, we are VERY HAPPY that our SWEET FURIEND is ok. WE LOVE YOU!, Purrs & Hugs & Kitty Kisses & MUCH LOVE, Pumpkin & THE GANG OF FURS Thanks Pumpkin and Gang of Furs !! |
