Sun Sign:
Quick Bio:

Neko loves to play fetch with her catnip-filled "mice." She brings them back to me or my husband so we can throw the mouse and she retrieves.

Neko can't stand seeing any kind of bug on the OTHER side of the window!

Favorite Toy:
catnip-filled "mice"

Favorite Nap Spot:
She has "nests" in every room and also on the wide windowsills (so she can watch bugs and birds)

Favorite Food:
Iams for Kittens (and sometimes a taste yogurt and her freeze-dried chicken treats)

Neko stands stretched up on her hind legs, then spreads her front paw toes wide and covers her eyes while she talks (she does this when SHE wants what YOU have.))

Arrival Story:
Neko is a "magic" kitten. I know, because the no-kill shelter lady had five black kittens in her cage at the animal shelter adopt-a-thon. Two got adopted and taken home with their new families. At the end of the adopt-a-thon the remaining kittens were taken back to the Foster Mom's home and SURPRISE! There were FOUR not three remaining black kitties! Neko was the one that was just a little bit different than the others (but still, solid black and about the same age.) It was later discovered that a man had come to the adopt-a-thon with the "magic" black kitten in his coat pocket and, when he thought no one was looking, simply dropped her into the pen with the other black kittens. A couple months later I saw her photo on the shelter's website and decided to adopt her.

My Mom is teaching me to recognize words. So far I know and understand all these words: Grasshopper (I run to greet Mom at the door and talk REAL loud 'cause I know she has a hopper for me!); Hunt (I run to my cat tower 'cause I know that word meand Mom has hid treats on the tower and all over the house for me to find--I start looking at the tower first!); Feather (I get REAL excited when I hear that word); Chicken (I dash to my food dish 'cause I know that chicken means a special treat); Light (Play time with the laser light! I run to the living room wall to wait for the red dot to appear!); Yogurt (this one is still hard for me to remember, but I'm working on it 'cause yogurt is tasty!)

My very first Diary Entry

I was just a little squirt a few months old when Mom first set my page and posted my profile photo here at Catster. Now I'm about three years old (or close to that---Mom didn't know my real Birthday, so she just picked September as the month. But Mom thinks it must have been in October, like maybe the 31st, 'cause, she says, I am a mischievous devil sometimes.

Last night I sat on MY chair at the dinner table and begged for a bit of cornbread. I did my cute little "paws over my eyes" pretty-please beg and Mom gave me a large crumb of corn bread. As usual, all I really wanted was to see what Mom was eating, so after I sniffed it over I walked away like I wasn't interested. BUT, later, I came back and ATTACKED the crumb!! I bushed up my tail and ran sideways at it, bopping it with one paw, then the other and racing out of the room only to sneak back and attack again. Mom says I had fun attacking the crumb for at least 15 minutes. I even GROWLED at it!!
