She loooves getting scratched all over, she will go nuts and lick the cushion or whatever she's sitting on. Also loves posting on the Catster Forums.

Laser pointer, hair ties, and shoe laces (especially when you are trying to tie them)

Almost anything! Chick peas are her favorite treat.
Skills:
She was a fetcher in her youth. Hair ties were her favorite thing to fetch, when I'd throw them, she would run to get them and then put them in my shoe. When I call her name or sing to her, she does a "happy dance." She also sings to her favorite toys.

Arrival Story:
I didn't choose her, she chose me! When she was in the cage with her litter mates and I looked in at them, she ran over, pressed her nose between the bars and purred to me. It was all over...she was coming home with me. I was helpless to resist. :)
Bio:
Beastie is a little neurotic. She is tense and jumpy a lot and she compulsively nibbles the fur on her belly to stubble. She is scared of being picked up because I think she is afraid of being dropped even though I've always set her down gently onto her feet. Despite all that, she is still very sweet and cuddly, loving to be petted/brushed/scratched, sitting in my lap or snuggling next to me when I sleep. __________________________________
She dislocated her hip when she was about four years old. I don't know how it happened, I just got home from work one night and she was crying and didn't want to be touched. Her vet put it back into joint, but it kept popping back out. Finally he decided that it was just not going to stay in the socket. He told me that we might need to do surgery, but that I should take her home and watch her for a while first. He said that if she used the leg, walked on it and put her weight on it that the muscles would strengthen to compensate for the bone not being in joint and hold it in the right position and maybe we could avoid surgery. I took her home and right away she was walking on the leg in spite of the pain. Before long, she was walking, running and jumping like nothing had happened. It was a big relief! It doesn't seem to bother her at all these days, although since then she does shake her butt a little when she walks. ;-)
