Patched Tabby

cuddling on a lap and being petted.

so far, Moses has been amazingly calm during everything he's been through. He's great with kids, great at the vet, great with other cats.

Favorite Food:
Moses needs to eat grain-free, canned food. No dry food, no poor quality canned food.

He stares into your eyes and really sees you, and rubs his head against your face.

Arrival Story:
I work with a local cat rescue group here in Albany, NY, and I found Moses wandering around downtown while I was out searching for one of the rescued cats that had gone missing. He was sitting on the stoop of a house where a woman left food out for him and other area strays. He came right up to me and purred when I pet him. He head-butted me and followed me like a dog down the street as I called for our missing cat. I felt awful, but I didn't take him that day. A few days later, he was still there, sweet as ever, walking beside me as I searched. The woman who fed him told me that someone had dumped him there, and she would take him in if she didn't already have 2 cats in her house. She called him Moe. I told her we'd take him, and a few weeks later, we did.

Moe was taken to the vet and found to be already neutered. He was given his Rabies and Distemper shots, and tested negative for feline aids and leukemia. His left ear is crinkled due to an old hematoma that was never treated, but it doesn't need treatment now. If my own cat wasn't such a butt (as I like to call him; he would stress poor Moe out, and he doesn't deserve that in his home), I'd take him myself. I want to keep in contact with whomever adopts him; I want him to go to a great home who is financially and emotionally equipped to care for him properly. If you are interested in adopting him, please call our rescue group at 518-463-8709, and leave a message asking Jessie to call you back about Moses. Thank you.
