I am Mad

Let me tell you, I am mad, mad, MAD! For whatever reason, on a day when no one was here and I was playing with my sister I found a sensation that I don’t like and it has changed me. I think they call it “pain” and I was “hurt”. In any event, I didn’t want my sister around and hated everyone. If anyone came close, I would hiss and swat at them until they went away. But my sister, geez, you would think that she would understand me when I am hissing an snarling at her, that I just want to be left alone. But noooo, she didn’t listen. She thought that this was a new game and she was finally winning. I couldn’t fight back and she got me in pain so many times. She was faster, now stronger and better than me. That was not cool. Sometimes I would snarl for hours at her.
Mom and Dad didn’t like me. They poked and prodded me endlessly at times when I was hurting. They wouldn’t leave me alone. Even swatting wouldn’t make them go away. They took me to see these other smelly people and they hurt me too. My leg must have hurt and the woman made it pop. That made things better, but not quite.
For whatever reason, I got my own master den room for a while. That was fun. I had my own food, litter and water. My sister was away from me and I was able to sit around and not have to deal with her for a while. Mom and Dad would come in and play with me and move the toy around for hours. I loved the attention! But they still were not coming near me, I showed them. Eventually, I let everyone know that I was still number one and I am back to being the Big Boy of the house!

p.s. – Dad, quit it with the water squirted. You wouldn’t listen to me because I was hurting. I don’t like to be wet.

New Den

Wow, it has been a while since I wrote anything in my diary! It is a year ago since I last talked. A lot has happened, and then again, being a cat and all, not too much.
Let’s recap. I am the dominant male of the house and I am great at it. I always get my way and do whatever I want.
Ok, so I am in a new den. My territories have expanded ever since that time where all my fun toys and hiding places were put in brown hiding boxes. Mom and Dad had piled them high in the corner which became my “king of the castle” peeking area. I was also able to get up to my little sister’s hiding area in the ceiling. It was great. But one day, Mom and that other person took me and my litter to another place and set me down and ignored me. It was so weird. I could smell another animal but couldn’t find it. The den was sprayed and marked with scents that said “stay away”. I was worried. I couldn’t find my favorite toys, or sister. It was better when Dad came in and I went to him and he picked me up and told me it was ok. I followed him around for a while and checked out each new den cave. I said that it was cool and we stayed.
This new den is two on top of each other. This is very strange since these steps go up and down for us. Unfortunately my sist-grrr thinks it is ok for her to be above me on these steps and look down on me. I don’t know what she is thinking other than she just needs to get pounced. There are also secret steps that go to the lookout area, but there is a blockage that sometimes opens and if I am sly and fast, can get into the top lookout den and peek at the birds. But Dad always gets me and sets up the blockage and takes me down. But it’s sure fun to make him grab me.
One fun game I have invented is “see if you are faster than me going up the steps”. I always win! If the people step up to the steps to race me, I make sure I beat them to the top. Then I get rewarded with a tummy rub in front of my litter in my den. Sometimes, they cheat and start racing up the stairs when I was sleeping or in another room. Those times are when I bring it. I make sure that I slip under their feet and trip them when I pass them. Just so they know, y’know.
Ok, let me tell you. Those moving boxes with wheels are weird! The only time I was able to look at one was some times that Mom and Dad would take me in the moving box into the moving box with wheels to somewhere I hated. But now, I am getting to see them more often at a far and comfortable distance. They always come from down there and go straight and then pass and go that way. I don’t understand why they just go straight when it would be more fun if they come up slow, pounce on another one that is stationary and then run fast down that way or behind this den. But no, they just go one way and straight. Ok, I am getting bored with them. I had never seen them before in the other den.
Of course, I have made the bed mine. That goes without saying. I like to prop myself up between the legs of Dad or Mom, whoever.
All in all, I love my new den. I have lots of places to run, two stories to peruse, and my sister to play with. There are lots of see thru walls to peek at birds and squirrels and moving boxes.

It is Summer!

Yeah! It is warm outside! I only know this because the people have opened the screen windows and doors and I can smell what is “outside”. For some reason, there is a strict “No kitties outside” rule here and it is really cramping my style. There is this kitten “outside”, let’s call him Peter, that tells me about all the cool stuff outside that I will never be able to do. He tells me that I could chase after cars, piss on fire extinguishers and eat people. I want to do all that too.
I asked Daddy about it and he said that I have it all wrong. He told me that I wouldn’t last 3 minutes outside and my friend is having me on. But, it looks so cool there. One day, I will get out and then we all will see who the Number One Kitty is!?!
Well, I got to go see about what Samantha is cooing about. O look, there is Mommie on the two wheel thing. Go mommie go!
