Arrival Story:
I got Lucha from a friend at work. She has been recently married and they thought they wanted a kitty in their new house, but they also got a full grown schnauzer and decided they didn't want Kitty anymore! They were just going to take her to the pound, but I couldn't let that happen because I knew she wouldn't be adopted as I live in a very rural community and no one goes to the pound to adopt sadly. I've always had a cat and have recently moved from my parents house and so I said I would take her. She was so small (barely 1 lbs!) with all this long hair and was sickly, but I nursed her back to health and she is now healthy, happy and beautiful! I have had Kitty for over 15 months now and she is beautiful! We recently moved to NC and she accustomed herself to our new home very quickly and can't wait for a whole new batch of adventures.
Bio:
When I first got Kitty, we all thought she was a Manx because she didn't have a tail. I knew her mommy was a regular outside cat, but no one knew what her dad was and she was the only one in the litter with no tail. I took her to the vet and after he looked her over well he said she was definitely not a Manx, but half bob cat!
I've never had this kind of cat before although its not unheard of to have a cat like this and she is already so adorable. She doesn't usually make much noise, except little chirps and barks every now and then. Although she can be VERY vocal if she has to be shut in a room for awhile alone. She loves to follow me around and is very loving. She also loves to climb-and I mean curtains, people, coats, table cloths and even the side of doorways! She'll also swing after she climbs. I think she may be part monkey...lol She'll also start to come if called and will sort of play fetch with me.
She has the most beautiful eyes that are green except for a thin ring around her pupils that is gold. She also has beautiful fur and everyone always compliments her and I think she is going to get the big head soon! =P
