Yeah it was my birthday yesterday...and My MOM FORGOT! Oh she didn't forget it was my birthday but forgot the presents, the best food, and the toys!! How could she?
I am putting my paw down on this matter. IT is not acceptable. It is my birthday and it should be celebrated on my day not later when she isn't busy.
Busy all the time working and such things, but I should come first. Not the dog, not the other cat (aka Dotman) me her boy her best boy. I should have my cake and eat it too. NOW (actually yesterday) on my birthday!
So how many cats agree and will put their paw down on this lapse of judgment of our human family to put us off till later.
Okay I am over the rant and letting off some steam there.
I actually wasn't aware it was my birthday yesterday until she said she was sorry for not having time to shop for toys and stuff and would do it later. Hey, but don't tell her that okay.
I want to give her the glare for a few days to put her in the know on that is not acceptable. Okay so no one give her the clue in on this matter.
We cats have got to come first and they need to acknowledge they get this understanding right?!
Oh on another sad note, the diet talk has come back, was gone for a bit now it is here again, saying we are getting chubby a bit, especially the Dotman, of course it is true, but he gets the diet so do we all. Just a few ounces and wow they really get rough with the diet talk. So not fair.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes and treats, at least someone didn't forget like you know who did. Having no time what kind of lame excuse is that!

Actually now KC is back to being his own self, mellow and has even tried to be friends with Dotman again. But they are both checking around the corner like they are afraid of an attack.
I don’t know what originally happened in the first attack. I do know that KC kept trying to go after Dotman for a few days, then Dotman started going after KC since that time.
KC isn’t doing anything now and is back to his mellow self, but Dotman has been starting things every time he comes near KC. So since Dotman is older I am starting to wonder if it could be a health problem of his, and maybe he was the original one that started the problem. Dotman got the worse of the really bad fight but it could just be that KC is younger and a better fighter.
I am really unsure of what is going on, but I have decided to take a back off and see attitude these last few days, and that is when KC mellowed back down. Dotman hasn’t, but seems to be a real loud mouth, not sure if the conflicts now are much more than the loudness of Dotman or actual physical contact, as by the time I arrive they are going in opposite directions.
So now I have decided to take a back off view of it and let them handle it more between themselves as long as no one is getting hurt again. Plus they are going to be put in the crate (time out) which KC is aware of because of having been on time outs before, Dotman is now going to get used to it. Maybe it will help.

Advice needed! KC and Dotman have been together almost all of KC's life, he joined the family as a young kitten. Yet today THREE TIMES KC attacked Dotman to the point of bleeding injuries. And many more times KC has tried to attack Dotman today but I have stopped it. Vicious attacks, loud with cat hair flying and blood around. Checked them both out each time and KC no injuries, Dotman has many bleeding spots, cut ear, and very sore to touch on backside.
Yet KC and Dotman ate side by side after the first attack and had no problems. After the first I thought that having just received their food, they wouldn’t come near each other, but they ate together without problems. Then another fight and KC groomed Dotman. The third one with the most injuries and the blood, and I have done my best to keep them away from each other. However, this is a small house not possible to keep them completely separate. Plus I have no idea what to do when I have to leave the house, which I of course will have to do.
I don’t know what to do, this has never happened before. KC is normally a very mellow cat. Dotman may be slightly bigger than KC, may even have more fighting skills only because of being a stray cat in his youth, but he is also a scary cat as well. Neither cat is allowed around other cats, and except for when I am out in the yard they are not allowed outside. Could a stray cat in the yard have caused this? I do believe that there have been some strays hanging around, which is not normal either.
I just want to figure out what to do from here on out, Dotman is old and doesn’t deserve to be in this position at this age. KC is my cat while Dotman is my daughter’s cat that got left when she went to college and has become a permanent fixture here. I have even worked hard on making him less scary cat, and can get him to sit on my lap occasionally for some petting. Now to see him at this age be beat up is just not sitting well with me.
Last point, just now as I was typing this, Dotman came out to eat some, and I tried to check him out and he ran and then saw KC and the growling started, but it was mostly Dotman growling. Then Dotman ran and hid, and sure enough KC started after him. I stopped him, and am keeping him away from Dotman, but this cannot become the new norm.
I have always had a rule, last one in first one out, if a problem getting along with each other happens, the last one in is the one to go. However, that rule has only been about animals that are new to each other and obvious are not going to get along. These two have slept together and have been friends for years.
Please give your advice on this matter.
