I went to the Rainbow Bridge on March 2, 2009. And when my Dad sees pictures of kitties that look like me, he remembers what his Mom once said to him, "There's lots of little Felix's".
I think he secretly would like another kitty that looks like me; of course none can be like me as I must have been very irresistible!
Thanks to all of you, for your nice comments and paw-mails.
Tundra sent a great picture for my anniversary today; thank you so much!
I love all these too:
Beautiful Wings, from Arthur, Beatrice, Max, Morris, Ben and Bert.
Forever Crown, from Rufus, Lucy, Pandora, and Sydney.
A Rainbow, from: Tundra; Kiki, Jack & Kosuteh; Muppet; Midnight, Popeye, Peanut, Samantha you Will Be Missed.
A Red Rose, from: Bella Beautiful Angel, Orange Ruffy, Smokie Boo, Natalie the Nat Cat, Princess Antonia Llwellyn of K, Louie the Lover Angel, Calli, Cee Cee Ryder Knowles, CK Angel Ryder Knowles, Delilah, Midnight, Calvin Mc Catster and Paws.
A Red Heart, from: Smiley Cassanova; Big Harry Orange Angel, Patches, Angel Lumi, Silvio Angel, Tabatha, Jameson, Zeus and a boy named Lucy.
I can touch them all from here at the Bridge and even when they disappear from my Catster page, I will always have them right beside me.
Thanks very much for everything!

I'm looking down from the Rainbow Bridge; I'm used to being up here. My Dad closely looks at my little kitten pictures on my Catster page and he loves more and more, every day, how I came into his life and he's so glad he took me home.
Me too!
Thank you my Dad.

A pretty kitty came up here to the Bridge on June 20. She is Twinkie and was Catster's Cat of the Day two days before that (on June 18).
When she was Cat of the Day we were reading her Forum posting, which is linked on her Catster page and the Forum is titled "Distressed and Torn" so we went and read it on June 18 and saw that Twinkie was sick and her Mom was finding it hard to decide about the Bridge Day. That's sad for all parents to think about, who, like my Dad, pray we will get well.
This touches me; Dad felt like that too with me, and with my sister Serena, thinking "Should I call the Vet? I don't want to. It can't be time. Can it?". It's one of those things parents never can be sure of.
Unfortunately we did not write down Twinkie's name, but hoped she'd get better. But, for days after we kept wondering who she was so we could go back to that Forum and see how she was doing.
Today, we were going over Feline Friend Requests we sent, and found a familiar name - Twinkie - and thought maybe she is the kitty we read about in the Forum. And she was. And her Mom did decide on the Bridge Day to be June 20. Now we're a little sad, but know that Twinkie rests in peace.
Other kitties posted on the Forum too, to give guidance to Twinkie's Mom, and maybe like us they did not know Twinkie's at the Bridge now, so I thought I'd write to let everyone know.
Twinkie will always be close to her Mom; you can tell this by reading her Mom's comments in the Forum.

I had my birthday on June 12 and since I was born in 1990 I'd be a good age for a cat now; I would have been age 22! But at the Bridge I'm about as vigorous as a one year old again!
Birthday parties are fun and I had many invitations from Catster Rainbow Bridge kitties to party, and boy - did we! We had catnip toys, catnip birthday cake with balloons that had my face on them, and the mice let us chase them (that was the best part) but here at the Bridge we're all good friends and play for fun. Meanwhile my Dad was driving home from his vacation and he was unable to type out something for my diary until today, but he was thinking about me.
Thank you my Catster friends for your rosettes, stars, special gifts, comments and pawmails and for the nice photos from Rory, Manytoes, Tundra, Lynzee and also from Pipo & Minko!
You are all very kind; thanks again!
Love
Felix

Did you all read about Panda, one of the Diary Picks today? Her mom Becky sounds like a very sweet lady who needs help getting a service dog.
I'm watching this from the Rainbow Bridge. Panda is very cute!
I think Catster must agree this lady has a worthy cause, as written in Panda, her kitty's diary, since they've chosen Panda as a Diary Pick today!
Our family is going to donate a little to her which is in the link in her diary; it looks like all of us Catster families can donate too - as little as $5.00.
Becky is pictured with her dog Takkera which you can see at "Meet My Family".
Panda, one of today's Diary Picks is at:

I hope you all agree. Poor Becky, no wonder Panda's diary mentions she's so sad. We can give a little hope.
Thanks to all of you!

Further to my past diary, would you like to help the very worthy Woods Humane Society (where Julie’s kitties were taken) save more lives, and win $100,000? Once a day, up until this coming Monday APRIL 16 you can vote.
Easily, you can go to votetosavelives.org
This is the ASPCA’s $100K Challenge. Please help Woods Humane, & save more animals, by voting!
The background info about Julie is further down if you have not read about Julie.
Unfortunately the Woods Humane Society is about #54 on the list so as many votes as you can by you, your family and friends, (if you have several email addresses that might work too) can help push Woods Humane closer to #1. Especially since they’ve been such a help to Julie, particularly in that they don’t euthanize, thank goodness.
We sent a ‘Happy Spring’ card to Julie, with your names in it if you sent us a paw mail to include your names. We’re soon going to send her a “Welcome to your New Home” card with your names in it (and anyone new who’d like to be added, just Paw mail me and we’ll add your names to the card and we will all be listed as “Your Catster Friends”).
Julie had to give up six of her ten kitties when she was forced to move because of her landlord. Five of her kitties went to WOODS Humane Society.
One of her kitties, Beijo, was recently adopted!
Two of Julie’s kitties are still at Woods Humane, waiting to be adopted, and they are pictured there: Marilia and Jules-Verne.
Anyone here in Catster can adopt them too!
You should go see how beautiful they are:
http://www.woodshumanesociety.org/
Graciela is now safely at a no-kill shelter called “Befriended Felines”. They will provide medication and sanctuary for Graciela for life.
Chief Red Cloud was quickly adopted (he’s so cute!)
Chief Joseph was adopted right before Julie’s eyes, at the time she was bringing in a couple of her kitties.
Julie now has only 4 kitties: Fuzz (16 yr. old), Autumn, Tiny Dancer and Squint.
Here is Squint’s Catster page. She is disabled and adorable:
http://www.catster.com/cats/1195127
We’re all hoping you can vote for Woods Humane Society to help move them up to #1!
Feel free to post this in your diary too so more votes can be given!
Thank you!
Lots of Love,
From Above,
Felix,

Maybe you have read about Julie in California having to give up 6 of her kitties when she was forced to move when the apartment she was renting had been foreclosed at no fault of her own. In finally finding a new apartment within her budget, she could only keep 4 of her 10 kitties. This would be a heart break; we could not even bear to give up one kitty; how lonesome and empty she must feel.
Julie had taken very good care of her 10 cats, and now has only 4 (in the end she has kept the 3 with the most serious disabilities plus the oldest cat which would be hard to adopt out) (she was licensed to have all 10 cats too, and received unannounced inspections, which she always passed).
Julie is disabled and on a very fixed income and the search for a new apartment, and giving up her LOVED pets at the fault of her dishonest landlord, has been a horrible experience. She always fed them the good brands of cat food while she would eat cheap food herself when necessary. This whole experience has been very scary and uncertain for Julie. On top of finding a new place for herself and finding homes for her 6 kitties, and now packing up her apartment, Julie is helping care for her mother too (taking her to the doctor, etc.). She is such a good person. We cannot imagine having to go through being forced to give away our loved kitties who actually make our home the “home” it is.
I do not want her to feel alone in this tragedy and I thought of something easy for you all to do, which will let Julie know that a lot of us care about her. If your Mom or Dad will pawmail me their name, or just their first name if they wish, plus at least one of your kitty’s Catster I.D. numbers so we can find you on Catster, we will buy a card, preferably a nice Big Card, and write all your names in it and all your kitty names that are in your family, and we’ll mail it to Julie.
It will be a “Happy Spring” type of a card. Now, Julie is still in her old apartment and she moves on April 6. After that date we will buy her a Welcome To Your New Home type of card, and write all your names in it again, and send it too. Just pawmail to me some time before March 22, as we live in Canada and when we send a card to the USA it takes up to 9 days or less. I would like her to get this Happy Spring card before she moves on April 6.
Or if you'd like to send your own card, even a little card, pawmail me for my address and you can mail the card to me & I'll forward it to Julie.
One of her disability kitties Julie kept, and you likely fell in love with him when he was Cat of the Day, is Tiny Dancer, who is at:
http://www.catster.com/cats/1192923
From his page you will see Julie’s other 9 kitties she once had (How sad! She had to give away 6 of them in the last 2 or 3 weeks!). Of these kitties, besides keeping Tiny Dancer, she kept the oldest one, Fuzz, and the other 2 with the most serious disabilities being Squint and Autumn.
Julie right now is unable to even look at their Catster pages because of the memories they bring back. I hope one day she’ll be able to give them a look again, but I would imagine that will be quite some time in the future. Right now this truly devastates her.
Graciela is now safely at a no-kill shelter called “Befriended Felines”. They will provide medication and sanctuary for Graciela for life.
The remaining 5 kitties were taken to the lovely Woods Humane Society, a no-kill shelter, where Julie was once a volunteer.
It appears that Marilia and Chief Red Cloud were quickly adopted as they’re not listed for adoption (we saw Chief Red Cloud pictured there Friday but he’s not now. Of course, being as cute as he is, I can understand him quickly being adopted).
Chief Joseph, a Siamese, was adopted right before Julie’s eyes, at the time she was bringing in a couple of her kitties; an older woman adopted him. So now, on the Woods Humane Society site, the only 2 kitties left are Jules-Verne and Beijo who are both listed (without pictures) under ‘Adopt A Pet’. Once you are on the page for all animals, use the pull-down menu and choose “Show Cats” and then only the kitties for adoption will be listed:
http://www.woodshumanesociety.org/
Every little dollar is well-used. A dollar can buy 1 or 2 cans of food; so necessary! Even here at the Woods Humane Society website you will see a donation button. They accept any donation, large or small, it does NOT matter how much; not at all.
What is also appealing is you can donate in HONOR of Julie’s cats’ names, Beijo or Jules-Verne. I know my Dad will donate; for this humane society to ease up some of Julie’s great pain, they deserve rewards.
Even though she could not really afford it, Julie made donations to this humane society with each cat they accepted. What has happened to her in the last few weeks, and to her kitties, is just so distressing.
Catster kitty Art Blakey kept us up to date in his diary; and I’ve thankfully got lots of this information from his diary, and have been speaking by pawmail with his Mom. If you’d like to read more on how this all happened to Julie, little one year old Art (“Artie”), who is a 3 legger, is at:
http://www.catster.com/cats/1186381
We just don’t want Julie feeling any more lonely than she will be now and always. We could not do this letting go of one of our pets; I know this has been agony for her! Because of her landlord, she has to have become a hero to endure all of this.
Again, we don’t mind at all if you pawmail us your names and we’ll write them all in these cards for her. And I know any small donation to Woods Humane would be put to great use; they are blessfully a no-kill shelter. If you’d like to help Julie more than this, just pawmail to us or to Art Blakey’s Mom and let us know.
Thank You All And May You Find Good Luck For St. Patrick’s Day!
Love, Felix, xo

A new Angel, Tempest, came up here to us at the Rainbow Bridge today.
Please give her Mom some prayers, we have prayed for her and Tempest too. Her diary is so sad. Her poor Mom is so distraught.
If you can, send her the Catster Love you all have and ask to be their friend if you wish. Tempest is at:

Thanks,
With lots of sadness,

Thanks Catster for picking me as Diary of the Day today! And thank you to my Catster friends for sending gifties, pawmails, photos, and giving comments on my diary!
I am sharing my diary honor with the deserving Natalie the Nat Cat (#1172687), Gigio (#1237789), dear Stormy (#63824) and my sister Elsa (#1116016)!
Even though I'm at the Bridge now, I think I lived so long because Dad always said things to me like, "I love my kitten" and "These young little kitties are into every activity"; never using old words and refusing to believe I was getting older. It worked too, because I looked young most of my life and always had a good weight.
Thank you all for making me feel further loved!

My Dad says I’m supposed to be with him. But, today is the day I had to go up to the Rainbow Bridge in 2009, after about a week of Dad syringing water and food to me. After the syringing, I’d lay in the kitchen and Dad would go to bed. Somehow, as weak as I was, I always walked down to the basement in the middle of the night and laid down there and that is where I was when he woke up in the morning.
Yesterday, when Dad was reading about a movie, the title of it reminded him of one of the phrases he always said to me. Then he got sad because he remembered that yesterday was the last time he ever held onto me, back on March 1, 2009. He was watching TV and I sat in his lap for awhile and he was telling me lots of times how he loved me because he was afraid my Rainbow Day was coming sooner than he wanted. That night when he went to bed, he let me lie down in the basement. Dad always sleeps in the basement too. Around 5 am or so he got up to use the bathroom and I was still warm and breathing and he petted me and went back to bed but when he woke around 730 am, I was gone to the Bridge. I was always his baby; no other kitties got that name from him. Even when I was an elderly kitty, and even today, my Dad calls me his “little baby Felix”.
Also last night, like every night, while driving home from work, he was thinking of the kitties he sees outside in the dark. Imagine, in your city alone, and then all around the world, how many millions of baby kittens there are who don’t survive and young homeless kitties who die and come up here to the Bridge because of sickness, cars, predators and horrible weather. He feels helpless because he cannot help them all. People help as much as they can by adopting and donating. I was a lucky kitty, chosen to have a safe, forever home.
Today I made Dad sleep in longer and then he had to rush a bit to get to work. I kept him sleeping longer so that I could come into his dream but he did not see me. However, he did have a vague feeling that sleeping in had to do with me somehow because of my Bridge anniversary being today. Maybe tonight he will see me in his dreams.
I fixed up some pictures on my page and today I received some beautiful gifties, pawmails and comments from you, my furriends in Catster – thank you! Pipo & Minko made me a photo, and so did Lynzee & Family – I love them!
Love Felix xo
