Hi all hope everyfur is doing well? Mom thought she would give you all a update on Lucy, overall she is doing well but she has had this really bad like cough almost like a fur ball being stuck as you all know Lucy dont have hair. so I phoned the vet this morning to discuss this with her I was worried about the cough she didnt have it before, anyway the doc said it was do to the anesthetic and it should get better in a couple days, so we hope she will return to normal but she is eating well now and trying to be herself. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers....Love You all Lucy

Endotracheal tubes can cause irritation in the respiratory tract, in peeps, too. So lots of liquids and a humid environment should help.
Hope she feels better, soom

Dr. Barchas answered a question about that in The Vet Blog:
Why do pets cough after surgery?
