Zoey and I felt our first earthquake today! It was far away in Baja, CA- Mexico but it is the longest earthquake our pawrents ever felt. It was a 6.9 (updated to a 7.2) which is strong. When we felt the shaking, we ran! Zoey didn't know where she was running to but I ran behind the couch. Our chandelier was swinging back and forth.
At least there was plenty of room to run behing the couch to hide. Yesterday Mommy had this great idea to pull the sectional away from the wall on all sides so we can run back and forth back there. Daddy thought it sounded really fun for us too. And it has been alot of fun for Zoey and I. There are no cords or anything of course and we can just run from one end to the other. Yes, we have taken control of the house!
Happy Easter Friends!
Thanks to Smudge & Sissel for the Easter Egg and Wishes they just sent me :)
Glad you are safe! I know how quakes feel cause we get them in Hawaii too, plus tsunamis!
Ooooo, that must have been scary, Zack. I'm glad nothing serious happened.
Thank goodness for couches. We all run behind ours when something scares us too. You gotta get Zoey to hide there also. That way your pawrents will always know where to find you if you all have to get out in a hurry.
Purrs for no more shakies!
That sounds like a lot of fun, but pure hell for your pawrents when they are trying to scoup you up and take you to the vet.
Oops...I meant scoop.
Hi Buster, Kovo and Nikolai!!
You are right Nikolai and we thought that was to our advantage but any time we have a Vet appt they get us in one of the bedrooms to play a few hours before and then it is easy to scoop us into our carriers. Our pawrents thought ahead!! MOL!
OMC! We felted it too! Mommy wasn't home but we was and I was scared....this is not my furrrst, but it's scary evfurry time!

Oh my hope you are both ok, we do not get earthquakes in the uk, but I am sure that I would be scared of them as i do not like the wind or the rain. What two brave little cats you are.
Hope you had a lovely easter too love Tilly xx
Wow I'm glad that you and your humans are OK! Robie and I felt a 3.5 quake once and we were scared! Hope your house is OK too.
Hey Little Zack & Family, we're all so glad that you're safe and the quake wasn't that strong in your area. I bet it was scary to feel! Mommy felt a little quake in Massachusetts back in the 1980's. There was a small amount of floor shaking for a few minutes. She thought the landlord's child was running downstairs & found out later that no one was home & there was a small earthquake on that same day.
