Arrival Story:
Audi is the largest of the kitties we love.He was born in my lap on Christmas Eve, and has gone on to be the Patriarch of a dynasty. We have the room and the means to let the 7 generations of kittens born to Audi and his mates Bitsey and Lady GrayW kept the most endearing kits from each litter, choosing one to be the breeer for the next generation. The rest are spayed and neutered. We let the bearing kit come of age, have one litter and then they are spayed as well. The Kommittee is now up to 25 cats but all are wanted and well loved. We live out in the country on 25 acres,15 of it fenced for their pleasureThey have free access to the house and 2 outbuildings ,Plus 2 sun porches and a covered patio. At night they all troop into the house for a cuddle and catnip, then drape themselves over the nearest human and watch TV.

Bio:
As I said Audi is our largest cat. weighing in at 35 pounds. The vet say given his body size, he is right where he should be. He is the size of a bobcat. The rest of the adult Kommittee scales in at about 30 pounds, and they are comparable size to Audi.

My Diary

Audie

Audie has passed away so now my once proud cat family is down to two. Between the poisoning and the coyotes, I've decided to close my farm to all animals. The two I have are now strictly indoors as I have torn down their outdoor sun porch, and ANY cat or kitten that gets dumped in my yard WILL be taken to Animal control. My dogs are penned and will stay that way until they pass and the same goes for my two survivors.

World is a little sadder

Mama Boo, our oldest and first rescue cat, mom of Audi passed away in her sleep at the age of 21 curled in her favorite spot. The Kitties that were there at the time came back and woke me up knowing something had happened to her. I think in a way they knew as all of them came up and touched noses with her before we took her out to be buried on the hill behind the house.
Her daughter Bitsey came in went right to Boo's spot looked at the other cats and curled up on it. The other cats repeted the nose touching with Bitsey then have gone about their business, I think I saw a dynasty being passed on to another generation. There is an heir apparent, Bitsey's daughter Little Bit, who now lays in the spot where her mother did. Has anyone else seen this kind of behavior?
