Well Mom and Dad talked and they both feel I am to the point I can no longer jump up on the table to get to the food bowl. They also feel I am having a hard time eating the dry food. So Mom when out and picked up some wet food. I like my new food alot. Mom gives it to me twice a day. The other kitties Patches and Pepper try to get my food but mom stays right there until I finish all I want.

Once I am done eating, Mom lets the others have the left overs. Kinda like a treat. I hope Pepper and Patches don't get upset with the fact I get wet food and they don't. I'm just too old to have to deal with kitty fits. Mom says not to worry, we will deal with it as we go.

Mom also is watching me close for signs of kindey and bladder issues. Mom knows all to well how us old guy kitties can get some issues when we are older. She remembers all they had to do to help our brother Morris. Mom says she really hopes that doesn't happen with me, but she will keep her eye out to makes sure.

Hello Lucky!
We have dry food down all the time, but I don't eat it. I don't have any teeth due to FIV issues, but we were told by our vet that canned food is better for all of us anyway. Our vet believes most cats, even without teeth can eat good quality dry, but wet is much better due to it having more moisture and that dry food can cause more digestive issues with time.
We hope for sure that you're enjoying your food, big guy.

Perhaps your mom and dad would use canned for all to make it easier on all?

Mom tonight gave everyone some wet food. I think she is going to do that from now on :)

Hi Lucky, I'm only a bit younger than you so I understand about it's harder to move around sometimes. I'm 16 1/2 now and last month had pills for a bladder infection, which happened about a year ago also. My kidneys were checked last month too and the Vet says I'm at the age where we will keep our eye out for kidney changes too.

I'm glad things are otherwise pretty good for you!

I see my dad giving in to the other kitties when he wants to only feed me canned food; so we all eat at the same time!
