Rider's Reflections
Last weekend's show...October 4th 2012 5:22 pm[ Leave A Comment | 3 people already have ] Mom took Vinny and I to a CFA cat show in the Twin Cities last weekend Sept. 29. I did okay, but not quite as well as Mom had hoped. I only made one final - Shorthair Specialty 10th Best Shorthair in Premiership. I officially got 4 Grand Premier points. 75 cumulative points are required for the title of Grand Premier in CFA. After 2 shows as a Premier, I have a cumulative total of 15 points. We'll take what we can get though.

Mom and I will hang in there and keep trying for a while. Tonkinese can be a difficult breed to show. Tonks are often considered the most difficult breed to judge, because there are to be no extremes, and they are supposed to look right in between the Siamese and Burmese. Judges can interpret this different ways. Mom has noticed that Tonks who look more like the Burmese tend to do better. And there's only a few Tonks doing really well in each class (Championship, Premiership, and Kittens). There's also a color bias, and naturals often don't do as well. Platinums tend to do the best. |
