Arrival Story:
Sammy came into our lives one summer morning. My mother was weeding in the flower garden and saw something move under the daisy's. She carefully drew back the leaves and there was a tiny black kitten, around 3 or 4 weeks old. We later realized that this tiny black fur-ball (who we later named Sammy) was the kitten of one of the strays we fed. For weeks we nervously watched him grow. His mama Mutchka constantly moved him (to throw of predators we guessed) so we were always searching for her latest hiding spot. Finally when Sammy was eight weeks old we decided to take him in. We couldn't take any more worrying about what could harm him outside. We took him to the vet and had his shots and neutered him soon after. Ever since Sammy has been our handsome boy and we just love him to pieces. He has a bit of a wild side to him, and insists on being outside during the day (if we don't let him out, he goes from window to window howling and growling and hissing till we let him out!) He can be very grumpy, but he is also a sweet lover-boy too. (we call him our bi-polar kitty!)

Sammy loves spending time outside with his mama Mutchka. They are good friends and love to play together in the trees!
