Arrival Story:
Hunter was born on September 30th 2004 He had 5 other siblings (3 brothers 2 sisters) His mother was out on the streets pregnant when she was attacked by a pit bull dog. A shelter volunteer came to her rescue and she was put into foster care where she had her babies. My boyfriend had moved out of his house in late October and we decided to adopt 2 kittens. We went onto Petfinder and saw the picture of Hunter and his siblings (they were about 4 weeks old in the picture) and we knew those were our kittens. On Novemeber 13th we traveled to the foster home. When we walked into the house there was a carrier with four little heads peeking out at us. When the lady opened the door all of them just stood there blinking at us. They all looked the same so it was quite hard to pick one out. Hunter was the grayer kitten of the two and the one who was walking to the kitchen when we picked him I guess some things never change =P

Bio:
Hunter is a lovebug You can scoop him and up and rub him and he purrs all the day long In the middle of the night if you hear purring on your chest its bound to be Hunter trying to say hello Not quite as daring or adventerous as his brother Hunter prefers to sit on his favorite chair and observe the world around him He has earned his name for he can sit patiently waiting for the right moment to pounce on his unsuspecting brother. Hunter loves to eat and its reflected in his larger size. He can be a bit of a food hog but you never hear an objection from him when we move him from the food bowl to let his brother eat first. Hunter is also Griffin's keeper. Whenever Griffin gets himself in trouble and can't seem to find a way out ( ie Getting stuck in the closet by darting in there before we can tell he has) Hunter is there to comfort and aid him. Hunter will sit outside the closet and meow until someone comes and lets Griffin out. Gentle, loving, and reserved thats our Hunter baby =)

Yesterday when I woke up my crazy brother was banging on the window demanding to be let out. Now I ask you what kind of cat does that? Dad put his leash on and let him out on the porch. I walked over to the window to watch him (in case he did something foolish, as he tends to do often, dad would need someone to let him know) It seems that over night the the temperatures had dropped and now there was quite a bit of percipitation now sitting on the porch that my silly brother was now frollicing in. He ran to the window to ask if I wanted to come out as well but knowing how cold it must be outside I politely declined. Griffin romped around for a bit but then the cold hit him and he came meowing at the door to be let in. Such tom foolery. What kind of cat wants to play when it is wet and cold? This I will never understand.

Till Next Time
Hunter
