Arrival Story:
We originally tried to adopt this cat from a man on craigslist, however his wife had a baby so we began to pursue other cats. One cat we inquired about sounded perfect so we went to visit him in Park Slope, Brooklyn. It turned out to be the same exact cat. His family gave him up because when they adopted him they did not realize the children would be allergic to him. They gave him to a paraprofessional that works with one of their children, who is autistic. And she gave him to us. It was fate! Someone adopted the kitten for a night and gave him back because her cat did not immediately get along with him. Well, lucky for us because now he has joined our family and we love him a lot.

Today Tanuki got an Easter bath for reeking. He did not really enjoy it, but we did.

Well, Mr. Tanuki has joined the ranks of cats who can not reproduce. The surgery went well- Steven dropped him off at 9:30 am and picked him up at 5:00 pm. I feel bad because he can't eat any food since he was under during the surgery, but he also couldn't eat last night. At least it's over with and he will live a safer and healthier life. I highly recommend muffins.org for spay/neutering if you live in the NYC area. It cost 42 dollars in total for the entire procedure and medications. And Tanuki is a-okay.

Tanuki lost one catster life for almost running away. Thankfully he was spooked and stopped by the fence. That will be our last outting for awhile. In other news today Tantan's muffins.org certificate was picked up for 28 dollars at Whiskers on E. 9th Street. He's all ready to be neutered. Lucky him.
