Arrival Story:
She was listed on the local Humane Society web site. I've always loved black cats and she was the first one we visited. She came out of her cage, immediately started rubbing up against us and purred like a frieght train. That pretty much sealed the deal.

Bio:
She had a litter of kittens when she arrived at the shelter. They were all lucky enough to find homes too. Beyond that, her origins are a mystery. She is the only cat I've ever met who likes belly rubs. She has lovely green eyes which you can't see in this photo. The Miss Pasha nickname comes from her habit of draping herself elegantly across the furniture. She is one of the most affectionate cats I've ever owned!

Mom is so proud of us that we're going to be on display in her class tonight. I love all this new attention, even if I can't understand a thing they're saying (it's a Russian class). Excuse me, I need to streeeeeeeeeeeetch luxuriously and see if my fur is shiney enough for company.

Toothy trials

I've been defanged...well, at least one of them has been removed. My teeth have never been the greatest. Probably because I had less-than-adequate care before I went to the shelter and Mom and Dad adopted me.

So, at the last usual degrading health check-up, Mom made an appointment to have my teeth cleaned (I hate that!) Come to find out three of my teeth were rotten and had to be pulled, so they knocked me out (I hate that even more!) and took out two molars and my left front fang.

It wasn't a wonderful experience. At first I didn't know what to do with my tongue with out the fang to hold it in, so I walked around with it hanging out a little - embarrassing. Mom though it was cute though. Then I was being pilled twice a day on a regular basis. My parents are lucky that I'm not a psycho/fighter like Sweetie or they'd be scarred for life right now. My mouth does feel better though and I can bite Meadow harder when she bugs me, so it's all good.

Invasion of the food snatchers

Heaven preserve me....there CAN'T be two of them!!!

Let me take a breath and I'll explain. There's a new little tortie cat in the house. She showed up a couple of weeks ago and wouldn't leave, so Mom and Dad took her in. A revolting development if ever there was one.

But that's not all. Sweetie (Dad named her - real original) acts like the house is hers and that she's just condescending to let stay here. Like Meadow and me weren't here first! She also hisses a lot and tries to pick on me, when she's not picking on Meadow (HA!). She's also a thief - if Mom or Dad don't feed her first, she'll steal food out of my bowl! Fortunately, Mom's wise to her, so she feeds Sweetie first and then feeds us.

In other words...this pipsqeak must be a half-sister to Meadow. Help. At least they both have someone else to chase around. Lately, I've been able to stay out of the way, by sitting in Mom's new rocking chair. For some reason they don't bother me when I'm on it.

Excuse me, I have to go ask Mom for reassurance that I'm her best kitty! She has been giving me a lot of attention lately, probably because she knows that I'm a sensitive soul. Stay tuned for updates....
