After a long battle with IBD and declining health, Elvin's body wasn't strong enough to handle the anesthesia during a dental procedure today. We knew we didn’t have a lot of time left with Elvin, but it is still a shock that he is really gone. I left right after the vet called to advise me that Elvin was in very bad shape, but I was still too late to be with him during his last moments. He died a couple of minutes before I arrived. Knowing that Elvin died alone was the worst part of the nightmare day.

Elvin enjoyed being involved in all the major events of our lives. When my husband and I were married in our backyard, Elvin (and his older brother Garp) watched the ceremony from a window. He was the official greeter (“kitten bait”) when newly adopted siblings were ready to be integrated into the household. Elvin enjoyed being held (a bit of a rarity in our household), sitting on laps, and getting baths from his sister Hilda. He will be missed.

We too are sorry to hear of Elvin's sudden passing. It is never easy on any of us no matter what happens, not being there to say good bye is very hard that happened to my Mom, she went to work for about 3 hours came home and her kitty had died on my human sisfurs bed....she was alone and we will never know why she died and from what.

You are in our thoughts and prayers during this time of sadness and grieving.

Elvin is a handsome angel now watching over you. May her rest in peace and fly high in the sky with his shining paws.

OH NO!!! We are so very, very, very sorry to hear this. I promise to go and find Elvin and help get some much needed rest here. Mom will email your mom. *sniff* we have tears!

So sorry to hear about Elvin...He had a good family which is most important...to be loved and have a happy life...Elvin had it all....Our sympathies..

aww..this is sad..and we are furry sadden..sending heartfelt condolences..Elvin didn't journey by himself..there was angels all about helping to guide sweet Elvin to the Bridge..and you know I was told to make a very special heart filled basket..and it was for Elvin..filled with all of your love..I have brought him to a really pretty place..its the forever flower field and we have been chasing butterflies together..and Elvin has been checking on his furmily quite a bit..
