TALES OF A TUXEDO GIRL

MOURNING THE LOSS OF SABRINA

April 8th 2006 9:15 am

I wanted to do something to honor a dear kitty friend, so I am starting a diary and my first entry will be to honor Sabrina.

I'm very sad this morning as I received a Catster Mail from Wendy of Bolingbrook, IL

Wendy is a tuxedo girl like I am and she and her Himalayan sister Sabrina have been my Catster friends. Wendy's message was one I already knew even before I checked it - darling Sabrina has crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge.

Please see Sabrina's story and diary at:

Sab rina would have turned 18 on May 17th. Unfortunately, she was suffering from liver cancer and was on meds and had taken chemo. Her devoted and loving human Mommy cared for her and loved her so much. Now she is very devasted at the loss of her Himalayan angel.

My humans sent this to Wendy for her Mommy:

And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am.....forever and ever and ever.

To Wendy and her Mommy - you both remain in our thoughts, hearts and prayers. Know that Sabrina now watches over and still loves both of you so very much.
