Hello to all the wonderful Catster Cats, Kittens and their loving humans!
I turn 15 years old today!
I have not had a chance to dictate a diary entry to my secretary because she has been busy helping homeless kitties and feeding stray kitties. These sweet kitties just break her heart. She wants to gather all of them up in her arms and give them a cuddle and a kiss but they are so afraid and so wary of humans. They see her bring food and water and hear her say how much she loves them. Poor sweet kitties.
Efforts to trap a female that is now a grandmother makes my secretary feel as though she is all alone out there. People remark about how this female is doing a great job surviving. These people are told "That is not the point! The point is this poor girl needs to be captured so she can be spayed."
She also needs a home and one couple (who happen to have her very first kitten) say they would gladly adopt this beautiful mother now a grandmother!
My secretary makes a monthly monetary donation to Columbus, Ohio's CAT WELFARE ASSOCIATION. What a great group of kitty lovers who volunteer their time and love to care for unwanted and homeless felines.
So, on my 15th birthday, I wish all cats were like me - healthy, happy, loved and treasured. I also must confess that my caring vet, Dr. Marilyn was holding me on my last visit and she exclaimed how soft I am and KISSED ME ON THE TOP OF MY SOFT HEAD! Wow! What a sweet vet I have (but I still don't like going).
Kitty kisses and purrs of love to all cats, kitties and their humans who love them as much as my humans do!

Beautiful Nelly Bell May tagged me to tell surprising things about myself. So here goes:
1. You don't need an alarm clock - I'll get you up in the morning!
2. If you are sitting in a chair I want to sleep in - I'll let you know!
3. You hide that cat carrier - I can read minds and know there is a vet appointment!
4. The videos made especially for cats - I just had a nap while they played!
5. Senior cat? - I still play just like I did when I was a kitten!
These are the kitties I am tagging:

1) I must say I am overjoyed and thankful that the Food Lady was able to take PJ and her babies inside! Bless the Food Lady for caring about the welfare of these precious ones!
2) I am thankful I have such a caring vet. Her name is Dr. Marilyn Schwab and although, I hate going to see her, she is always so gentle and sweet to me.
3) I am thankful my humans love me so much! I was born outdoors and have been safely inside since I was 5 weeks old.
4) I am thankful for no-kill cat shelters. Bless all the volunteers and supporters who help staff and run them for the love of cats!

Princess tagged me for the summer game. So here are 5 things I do during summer:
1. I wait and hope that Peregrine Falcon fledglings are safe on their first flight. This is the time of the year that 6 week old Peregrine Falcons take their very first flights. Many have nest boxes on city skyscrapers and all class skyscrapers are EXTREMELY dangerous to all birds.
2. Stay indoors and keep cool. I stay indoors year round so I am safe and protected.
3. Admire the flowers my Rita plants and tends. She's got black hollyhocks this year and I think she planted them in honor of my fur color!
4. I am a very shy kitty and will run and hide if anyone comes into the house. However, I am content to sit at the window and have a steady stream of admirers come up to oooh and aaah over me.
5. Playing and more playing! Playing is alway followed by a nap.
Here 5 kitties to play tage with me.
Dora
Little Bit
Greg
Squeak
Bugs
Sigh. It's almost July and that means loud fireworks. Fireworks and thunderstorms scare me and I run and hide. We've had enough thunderstorms just this month so I've had plenty of hiding time. Then when July starts, there are fireworks before the 4th of July, fireworks on the 4th of July and fireworks after the 4th of July (many times one or two weeks afterwards - like someone in the neighborhood is trying to use up the excess fireworks they have bought).

It is with a very sad kitty heart I learned that my dear friends Buddie and his sister McKenna both crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge.
Handsome Buddie became a kitty angel on Sunday, November 25. All of us rejoiced when he became the furhusband of Miss Hazel Lucy of Catster fame on September 24, 2005.
Buddie's loving Mommy & Daddy were devasted at the loss of their boy.
Buddie's beautiful sister McKenna became a kitty angel on Tuesday, November 27. Her Mommy & Daddy (wonderful Sherry & Bill) were again heartbroken.
McKenna had just become the furwife of Mel (who crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge just last month).
Kitty kisses to Sherry and Bill and I share your grief. Your babies were much loved by kitties and humans alike.
And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.
Are you coming then? asked God
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.
But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.
Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am.....forever and ever and ever.

All my humans are so happy because my neighbor Bee returned home this very evening!
Bee just appeared at the front door of her home - thin, but safe.
What a joy it is to know this sweet kitty has returned!
Kitty prayers and human prayers were certainly answered tonight!

When checking my page, please check out Bee who is now listed on my account.
The is my sweet neighbor and she has been missing since Tuesday, January 2, 2007. My humans are sad and upset that she is gone and her loving owner is distraught.
Bee may have unknowningly been transported out of our neighborhood to another neighborhood in a carpet installer's van. That white van was in our neighborhood to put in new carpet at a house close to where Bee lives. The back doors of that van were open the entire time the installer was working. Bee may have gotten into that van to explore and was trapped.
Bee has never been know to stray far from home. As soon as John comes home, Bee is right there to give him an affectionate greeting. She does the same to my humans whenever they visit with John. That's Bee - extremely affectionate!
My human Mommy says Bee is a "very pretty cat" and she has a "cute pug nose". Bee looks as though she might have some Persian in her because of the shape of her face. What is the most striking feature about her (besides her sweetness & friendliness) is her very large light green eyes!
John began calling her Bee for "Big Eyes". My humans say she that could also be "Beautiful Eyes" or "Beguiling Enchantress" - all of them fit this precious girl.
Thoughts and prayers for Bee's safe return to John and all of us neighbors who love her so much.
We miss you, Bee!
