Hello to all the wonderful Catster Cats, Kittens and their loving humans!
I turn 15 years old today!
I have not had a chance to dictate a diary entry to my secretary because she has been busy helping homeless kitties and feeding stray kitties. These sweet kitties just break her heart. She wants to gather all of them up in her arms and give them a cuddle and a kiss but they are so afraid and so wary of humans. They see her bring food and water and hear her say how much she loves them. Poor sweet kitties.
Efforts to trap a female that is now a grandmother makes my secretary feel as though she is all alone out there. People remark about how this female is doing a great job surviving. These people are told "That is not the point! The point is this poor girl needs to be captured so she can be spayed."
She also needs a home and one couple (who happen to have her very first kitten) say they would gladly adopt this beautiful mother now a grandmother!
My secretary makes a monthly monetary donation to Columbus, Ohio's CAT WELFARE ASSOCIATION. What a great group of kitty lovers who volunteer their time and love to care for unwanted and homeless felines.
So, on my 15th birthday, I wish all cats were like me - healthy, happy, loved and treasured. I also must confess that my caring vet, Dr. Marilyn was holding me on my last visit and she exclaimed how soft I am and KISSED ME ON THE TOP OF MY SOFT HEAD! Wow! What a sweet vet I have (but I still don't like going).
Kitty kisses and purrs of love to all cats, kitties and their humans who love them as much as my humans do!
Beautiful PJ tagged me! Here are 5 things I am thankful for:
1) I must say I am overjoyed and thankful that the Food Lady was able to take PJ and her babies inside! Bless the Food Lady for caring about the welfare of these precious ones!
2) I am thankful I have such a caring vet. Her name is Dr. Marilyn Schwab and although, I hate going to see her, she is always so gentle and sweet to me.
3) I am thankful my humans love me so much! I was born outdoors and have been safely inside since I was 5 weeks old.
4) I am thankful for no-kill cat shelters. Bless all the volunteers and supporters who help staff and run them for the love of cats!
5) I am thankful for the humans who spay and neuter their pets.
