Arrival Story:
Blaze (3/25 thru 6/12/2004) was one of 3 darling sibling kittens (among many others) that I fostered for a rescue group. They were from some barn and needed socializing before they could be adopted. They were very young, 6 or 8 weeks old, and so they socialized very easily and quickly. The others were named Bambino and Mittsy. Bambino also had the same health issues that Blaze did, but we were able to pull her thru. She and Mittsy were adopted into loving homes.

Bio:
Blaze had the most unusual, striking markings, and was so sweet - I wanted to keep her for myself. We didn't find out until too late that she had some kind of bacteria or illness, and was just unable to eat enough to keep herself alive. Even after being seen by a vet, and with some force-feeding, she died - very tragically and very unexpectedly. Young kittens can go downhill so fast that sometimes they're gone before you can do anything about it. I'll always grieve over her death. . . . . Ironically, she died while I was out of town over a 3 day weekend, at a training seminar to learn about animal rescue during disasters. We nursed and gentled him and got him adopted out too.
