Arrival Story: Gomer just sort of moved in. He was clearly a feral cat, and moved into the yard due to its ample supply of squirrels, birds, and the occasional gopher. Rather than have daily carnage in the front yard, I started feeding him, not really expecting him to ever trust me. Eventually, I was allowed to touch him if I was sitting on the ground. Not long after, he decided he was coming into the house whether I liked it or not, and he's been here ever since.

Bio: Gomer's not really tame -- he's just cuddly and loving because he feels like it. I'll never forget the day I had him neutered. Just getting him into the travel crate was a major ordeal, and on the way to the vet's office, he thrashed and howled so much I was sure he was going to get out and cause a car accident. He didn't. I warned the vet that Gomer was NOT tame ... the vet got cocky ... and ended up with a shredded shirt and arms for his trouble. But Gomer's really the most wonderful cat ... and my constant shadow.
