So a month ago Mommy and Daddy took me to the vet because, my mouth was bleeding really bad and I had stopped eating. Now that concerned them both a lot because, I am their trash kitty and they saved me when I was two weeks old. Well the vet looked at my mouth and said I have some kind of gum disease that kills the roots of my teeth and makes my mouth bleed.

Mommy asked about what can be done for me and the vet told her that usually you have to remove all of the teeth in order to kill it. Mom and Dad decided that if Tippy could live just fine with no teeth then I should be able to, too. So they told the vet to do what he had to do. They came and picked me up and he told them that I have eight teeth left and that those remaining teeth may need to be removed in six months to a year.

When I got home I was really sleepy for two days and then started to want to eat but, didn't want to come out of hiding. Finally I realized that Tippy went through this too so I should be able to come out and shine. Needless to say my mouth hasn't bled since then and I am eating like a piggy. I don't want to go back to the vet in a couple of months but, I know they will make me. Oh well that is the risk I will take to keep getting to clean Monty's ears.

I love Monty so much and I am thankful for my family...even Missy when she is sleeping.
