It's snowing! It's all frosted like yummy icing or whip cream outside! It looks delicious! Earlier, my mom decided to carry me just outside to take a look. Since my fur is so short and not much protection from the cold, she decided just a peek would be good. But as soon as we stepped outside, I saw some weird bundled-up creature/snow man scraping the ground with a shovel, and I freaked! I struggled and mom quickly brought me inside and let me go. It's funny, because I'm usually not afraid of anything. I'm not even afraid of the vaccuum cleaner. The only thing that used to scare me was my own reflection in the mirror! Especially if I had a hat on- heehee- I didn't recognize myself. But that strange bundled up man with his scraping shovel scared me. I was okay once I got inside though, and I wanted to peek outside. but from the floor, sure of my own feet.
Right now mom is really annoyed because something happened with her computer power adaptor and it won't go on. She is writing this for me on her iPhone. She wanted to go online to order me some more toys. Seeing everyone's great toys made her feel like a bad mommy for getting me boring presents. Ahem ahem... nothing like GUILT to motivate a mommy in the right direction! I know what I want: more fishing fly toys! I've demolished 4 since she first got me one. They are still my fave. Mom can still order stuff on her phone, it's just a lot smaller.
Well the snow keeps coming! Maybe mom should make me a snowsuit so I can go outside! She doesn't want me to get sick though. I think I prefer to lounge on my old self-heating mat and cushion on top of the bookshelf. I still haven't tried the new bed, but I've circulated the room to my other old bed and mom's bed. Hehe. I'm a classic kind of cat.

More toys? You lucky Ducky! Good luck with the mommy guilt, I sometimes have to use a little guilt myself to get stuff, we kitties are good at it!
You have a self-heating mat? Cali got one for Christmas! I think a snowsuit for you is a great idea,if only for the pictures of you wearing it! Dad is a fly tier, maybe he can make you some toys. Are they fish hooks with the hook part cut off,or plastic? Dad will ponder this....
We're having lots of snow too. Mom just got in from bowling and the roads are a mess. I don't think any of us kitties will be venturing out but we did play with the snow that came in on mom's shoes. We have a fishing pole that looks like a kids toy and it has a mouse on the end. Mom can cast it way down the hall or across two rooms. We love to chase it when she casts and when she reels it back in. Purrs, Skylar
We're not going outside! The wind is whipping pretty fast and momma had to go outside to the garage to do something tonight and when she came back in her face was all red like Santa Paws! Oooh, Santa Paws. Anymore prezzies? hee hee.
Cali is going to love that mat. Mine is high on top of these big shelves, right below a ceiling heat vent, and when the warm air blows on me, and my mat is all warm below me, I lift my head and close my eyes with contentment. I found that spot by myself, and kept jumping up there, so mom cleared the shelf off and made it cozy for me.
Tigger, my mom is going to tie the fishing flies herself. She remembered that your dad told her about the fly tying kits, and she bought one. She went to this great metal working supply store in the city, and looked for something to replace the hook part, but couldn't find anything right so she's just going to use hooks and cut off the curved barb part. Then file and cover the ends.
Skylar, that toy sounds great, my fishing fly wand doesn't reel in. Where did your mom get it?
Then again, she's been planning to tie those fishing flies for a while and hasn't. She bought the kit months ago. The truth is she was going to order a couple more flies in the meantime. oh mommy.
Stay warm, cozy and safe! Don't get too buried!
Hope your mommy doesn't have to venture out tomorrow morning!
Then she might get to be one of those shovel wielding peeps...
Stay warm Toki! We have snow too, we've been watching all the birds come to our feeder. Purrs from Miss Minerva
